Maybe not with ease! Feanor was a genius. He was probably the most gifted smith/creator/inventor who has ever ever lived in all the history of Arda. Tolkien goes out of his way to say that Feanor was the most amazing: “For Fëanor was made the mightiest in all parts of body and mind: in valour, in endurance, in beauty, in understanding, in skill, in strength and subtlety alike: of all the Children of Ilúvatar, and a bright flame was in him.”
But the Dwarves have had geniuses too. A good example is Telchar.
Telchar was a smith of Nogrod, one of the cities in the Blue Mountains in the First Age. We know of three of his astonishing works. Angrist, the knife that could cut through iron. The Dragon-Helm of Dor-Lormin, which had enchantments on it to protect the wearer from wounds. And lastly, Narsil, sword of Elendil, which was re-forged for Aragorn and re-named Anduril.
He was pretty boss 🙂
