SQUEEE! Babbies!! Dwarfling will have little dwarflet to play with!

lmao, you know what, that’s touched on some stuff that Mr Dets and I have been chatting about, actually. We are fairly certain, knowing her bright, dramatic and energetic lil personality, that the Dwarfling is gonna find her new sibling to be a bit annoying and useless at first, and she may get jealous of our (mostly my) time being swallowed up by a newborn. She’s had us all to herself for three years! 

So we’re going to be working very hard to make her feel secure and loved and special when the new one gets here. It’ll be a while before she can play with the babbu properly – she gets upset with the younger children at daycare when they grab or snatch, so living with a grabby handsy lil baby will be a challenge in patience for her. It’ll be a real adjustment for all of us, and we’re gonna need time, probably! Eventually of course we hope they will click! 

However, we’re realistic enough to know that there will probably be a period of… not-clicking 😀

Hey there. We haven’t heard from you in awhile. I hope everything is ok.

Hi Nonnie, thank you so much for thinking of me!

I’m home sick right now. For the past seven weeks, I’ve been doing 12 hour days at work… I mentioned work was going bonkers, yeah? IT GOT MORE SO. So I have finally crashed with a really bad flu. 

I’m not circling the depression drain at the moment, just the exhaustion one. And there’s another reason for that, too… though it is a nice one!

I’m gonna be expecting another Dwarfling in March next year. Currently 10 weeks along. We’re very happy, but it’s been a bit of a rough ride so far. My fatigue and nausea is out of control, honestly. So SO much worse than the first time around – and that time, I didn’t have an energetic lil toddler to cope with!

I’m ok, promise, I know it sounds like a lot, but I will be all right once I have recovered from this flu, and once I have made it to the second trimester and this fatigue lessens a bit. Right now, I am simply and constantly so tired.

I was coping p well before getting this stupid flu, actually! Worst part of being a teacher – YOU CATCH EVERYTHING. *grumbles*

again, thanks for thinking of me, Nonnie, you are a gem. I normally wouldn’t be able to answer messages (I’m literally collapsing the minute the Dwarfling is in bed each night, these days!), but being home sick from work has actually given me the opportunity! So there’s a shiny silver lining! I have missed all my online friends so very much. *hugs* 

School holidays are on their way in a month’s time, and I intend to get some writing done over those two weeks! 

HAPPERLY BEEFERDAY!!!!!!! *hugs* you are an incredible, incredible soul, and I wish you many awesome things for the coming year. You fab ever-poppin queen you!

You know, Dets, we’ve been friends for awhile now (which is awesome, because you’re awesome, it is altogether awesome that I can call you a friend and we can shoot the breeze and joke and send each other stupid gifs and all that), but damnit, I still get happy illogical brain fireworks every time you say something nice to me. I am gasping – this is incredible! You are amazing at expressions – I am choking at Legolas’ outraged expression and Gimli’s cheeky look – and the hair! And the angle! And the shading and the detail – gimli’s belt! Legolas brooch! EVEN THE INSIDE OF THE BOAT AND THE RIPPLES AND LIGHT ON THE WATER…! this is absolutely gorgeous, and I am simply gobsmacked!!
