If you want to make it Angsty, you could have Legolas telling the story to their kids just before they sail into the undying lands. Because everyone else who knows the whole story has gone away, and Gimli is old and his memory is going, and their Auntie Tauriel only knows parts of it.
But they remain on Middle Earth, and their fathers sail away, but it’s okay. They won’t let their story be forgotten, go on Ada and Adad, go to the west and be happy together. We’ve got this sorted.

Ayyye! I thought it was that! All the fellowship died and so they had no reason left to stay on Middle Earth and so they sailed to the undying lands. Although it was more like Legolas being all “You can’t have THIS ONE TOO DEATH!”
But yeah, Legolas goes with his Husband because Gimli is old and it might be his last chance to sail, and Tauriel is going to stay because she wants to fight for the land still and Arwen needs a bro to hang with.
Their kids tell their story and it becomes the Beren and Luthien of a whole new generation.

Tolkien eventually abandoned the idea of Dagor Dagorath, apparently! But I like it as an apocalyptic prophecy anyway – bc prophecy as a concept in itself can be a tricky and twisty thing, even in a fantasy universe. We can’t be sure of how it will play out – we dunno much of anything about it, really.

Simple and a little messy, as most of my art is, but I’ve wanted to create this for a long time: based on a quote from Sansukh, “Sometimes it [love] is not a wound, but a promise”. Been thinking about that a lot. The flowers are a forget me not (fairly obvious) and lavender (which is personal). Now up in my room as a reminder.

At long last, we are pleased to present to our faithful listeners the teaser trailer for Chapter 6. We’re working with a new system for compiling lines, so from hereon out you may expect that three chapters will be released in (relatively) short succession, with a slightly longer break between. (Additionally, since HD is teaching, finishing her dissertation and looking for work, it’s also a little bit her fault that things have been a little delayed this time around.)

I totally stole @houkakyou‘s trick, and put vinyl inside the belt, heh. I screwed up a whole bunch of very nice trim by dyeing it just a bit too long. Buggering fuck. Anyway, thank heavens for an old brown Venice Lace skirt I bought on a whim at an Op Shop, bc it is now doing stellar duty.
Now to decorate that skirt. Oh god. Two circle skirts, what possessed me, I do not bloody know.
