I had a sudden vision of Bilbo proudly tacking up Frodo’s first pictures. But of course Frodo arrived as a tween at Bag End, so those pictures would actually be much more sophisticated than little kid drawings of stick figures. But what would Frodo draw? Why, pictures of Bilbo on his adventures, of course!

This is a tiny ficlet of hobbit life, with a bit of Thorin thrown in.

Story is set in Determanfidd’s Sansukh universe.

DWARVEN QUILTS THOUGH. I feel like they might use earthtone batiks to mimic stone, and metallic thread for embroidery work. Heirloom quilts have gems scattered amongst the seams. I wanna make one now.

One great thing that came out of the BTS of BOTFA is that we now have an image of what Dis and Frerin looks like!

And we’re lead to the conclusion that they got this image of Dis from their version of Cate Blanchett as a dwarrowdam.

I didn’t know I wanted this so badly until I saw it. @determamfidd, have you seen this yet?

Yay, more dwarf ladies! I love Barís Crystaltongue a lot (I get the feeling this is a popular opinion ;p) and I always thought the description of her traditional performer’s ornamentation was really pretty. This is definitely not chapter 37- I’m thinking a much happier song, maybe at a festival or something.

Barís has the complexion and hair of her mother Alrís, but in features takes after her uncle Bofur and grandfather Bomfur more than her father, which was the subject of much good-natured teasing as she grew up (luckily the next few looked much more like their dad XD).

~~Also I’m gonna say that I really hope she gets her lady >.> I hate seeing her pine and be sad~~
