EEEEE THANK YOUUUU omg thank you so so much!
I’ve done Gimris and Narvi, so here’s what Jeri would do, if you told them that they were your fave!
They’d probably trip over their own feet, frankly. And then they’d blurt, “really? Me? Really?”
Then they’d absoLUTEly shout you a drink, and they’d try not to give big wide-eyed looks at you the whole time. But it would fail – a lot. Their eyes would keep steering over to you over their tankard, and they’d have to keep wrenching them back so they weren’t staring at you in happy dopey gratitude.
And so, their aura of Terrible Competent Coolness would be punctured forever. 😉
Awwwww I do need to get that one! We’ve read it at the library many, many times, and it is definitely a winner!
(she likes the frog best XD )
AWWWWWWWWWW ❤ Thank you, lovely nonnie!!
Gimris would be all “Really? Well, there’s a thing! That’s terribly kind of you, you dinnae have to say such nice things – though if you said it in front of my Warg of a brother I’d be eternally grateful…”
Balinith would go a bit shy and bashful, I think. He’d stay close though, grinning to himself and hovering nearby, listening and learning. And when he finds his confidence again, welp! Prepare yourself to read every book, clarify all the words, listen to all the explanations, and also help with ALL the Important Experiments! You’ve been given the Balinith Seal of Approval 🙂
(ahhh thank you, thank you SO MUCH nonnie! I deliberately steered her character away from the popular Dis-depiction that was common when I first began the story, and I am SO SO GLAD you like where I took her! It felt like the most risky choice ever, at the time!!)
Dis would probably say thank you too, thank you very much. She’d say it quietly, and baldly, and with an undercurrent of steely, sad dignity.
Haban would stop stock-still, and probably stare at you open-mouthed for a moment. Then she’d say, in a loud and sort of wobbly voice, ‘Well!!!”
and in milliseconds you would be looked after, cared for and mothered to within an inch of your life 😉
What an excellent game! I’m p good with tongue twisters, thanks to all the singing training, so I expect Mr Dets will leave that one to me, heh.
DWERIS HELL YEAHHHHH – I am loving that you love her! I love her too!!
Dweris would be all… [Slow smile that turns into a GIANT GRIN] “Right, you’re never paying for ale again: drinks are on me!”
YES THEY ARE – THEY ARE ENTIRELY AS COOL AS ANY ONE OF MINE, they are, promise and cross my heart, bc they came from your mind and imagination and love, and every character that comes from that place is 1000% amazing
(sorry if mine tend to be a bit on the pushy side…! I believe that ‘Vili’ has become a sort of fandom-wide accepted name, though 😀 )
*fistbump of early book-loving solidarity* Same here! It makes me so proud and delighted!
honestly, watching Mr Dets read to her is one of the most mush-inducing sights in my entire existence
