that artist is esl and there will be communication problems. maybe send them a private message?

it appears that someone already tried that. That anon. I don’t want to be That Person, and so I usually just have a little rant on my own tumblr, or post a goddamned quote from the books to remind myself that this isn’t my clever, generous, awesome badass baby.

I’m just. So unhappy and tired about it? It is horrible to see such blanket condemnation of a GOOD character, a generous and kind character, a hero – your favourite character since you were 9 years old… like, I wish people would consider what it is like. And really, I have tried sending polite private messages to people in the past, and get accused of all sorts of horribleness.

So I’m exhausted and frustrated and very, very unhappy, and I don’t want to do it any more.

What kind of spiders are Huntsman? They look utterly terrifying, but I’ve only heard silly things about them.

Awww, Huntsmans look terrifying yeah. They’re very big, brown and fuzzy, with long legs and flat large bodies.

They are, however, not very aggressive at all (unless they have an egg sac). They’re a pretty chill spider. They hang out in people’s houses and cars here, and eat all the flies and bugs. They’re called ‘huntsmans’ because they literally hunt down the bugs: they don’t spin webs. They generally lie flat with their legs splayed out, like a crab. They CAN bite, but their venom isn’t deadly.

And they run very fast – and they run like fucking idiots

Just read Snowmelt. (Perfect title, btw.) Oh be still my beating heart. *sits back with hands folded* Aaand now to wait for the fanart. (Knowing this crowd, I won’t have to wait long. )

Ahhhh, thank you so much! *blushes like crazy* A bit out of my usual smut-writing comfort-zone (my usual is either dreamy and feelsy, or ANGST CENTRAL), but they are such fun and so cute. And I’m really glad you like the title! I had a bit of trouble finding it, actually – the word is used in the fic, but it didn’t jump out at me at first. I’m pleased with it now, though!
