Happy birthday to your Dwarfling!!!!
Ahhh, thank you! She had a great day – so many visitors, so many presents! And I made a cake with dark chocolate fudge icing that looked like a little brown owl, and it tasted delicious. Proud Mummy moment 🙂
She is absolutely pooped after such a big weekend, and we’re all a little bit people-d out, I think. But it was a roaring success, and she had a wonderful time! I can’t believe it’s a year!
Groin with a sassy raven companion. He totes gets him to make of with various items of Fundin’s. Because reasons.
BAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA YES, Groin is 300% the sort of Dwarf to get on with the Ravens. And he absolutely would collude with them to tease his older brother.
The Stonehelm has 100% used the Trouble Troupe as a mini-focus group for practicing his cooking for Bomfris. They are totally wiling to judge his efforts. Because candy and sweets. (He’s gotten better!)
Awwwwwwww!!!
They would too, the pack of cheeky opportunists. They’d probably tell that he needs to improve upon perfectly good batches, just to get their sticky little mitts on more lollies.
I’ve just gotten the end of Sansukh. Words cannot describe how beautifully you have crafted it. I’m sure many have said so. Thank you, looking forward to the next chapter! Now I have to sleep, because its half 2 in the morning in the UK….oops.
OH GOSH SLEEP
Also – thank you, thank you SO much. I am so touched. I work very hard on it, and every kind word just. It really means so much. Every single one. Thank you for taking the time to tell me, it is a beautiful message to return to. I’ll be collapsing from exhaustion with a big smile, thanks to you. *hugs* Thank you again!
Dis has a bunch of patchwork quilts made out of family’s clothes – things of Fili and Kili and Thorin’s brought back to Erebor fro, Ered Luin, and stuff in Erebor from before the dragon. So many cuddles.
AUGH
AUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Stonehelm/Bomfris noseboops. Also how on earth did Thorin accidentally poke his (ample)nose in Bomfris’ eye? We may never know.
PPPFFFFFT
Sausage/Butterknife OTP. YUS.
I am unexpectedly heartbroken by Narvi??? I haven’t even read her source material??? On a calmer note, nice chapter, and congratulations on managing to make a relatively stoic person absurdly emotional about literally everyone you write about.
*hugs you and passes over the leftover chocolate birthday cake* Ahhhh, I am sorry that I am not sorry, Nonnie. *hugs you some more*
I was rereading sansukh and I’m probably being stupid but who are wee thorin’s parents? I thought it was dwalin and orla but then dain and the queen refer to him as son?
LOL, okay… welp, there are three Thorins in Sansukh.
Thorin Oakenshield, determined dogged dead schmoopy leader, crafter and brooder extraordinaire.
Thorin Stonehelm, son of Dain and Thira, new King of Erebor, Awkward Butterknife.
Wee Thorin Dwalinul, son of Orla Longaxe and Dwalin, eldest of three brothers, long-suffering Gimizh-wrangler and Elf-Whisperer.
I know, I KNOW – but I differentiate them by always referring to Thorin Stonehelm as ‘the Stonehelm’, Dwalin’s boy as ‘Wee Thorin’ (poor little guy lol), and our Thorin as just plain ‘Thorin.’ I couldn’t resist having Dwalin name his firstborn after his best friend, even though Dain had already done that long before. So yeah, sorry for the confusion, Nonnie!
Wait – the dwarfling was seriously born on the same day as you posted Sansukh for the first time? If yes then that’s a crazy coincidence omg!
The day before, actually! Sansukh’s birthday is 24th June, and the Dwarfling was born on the 25th. Very suspicious. Both Cancerian. Hmm.
