Well this was supposed to be for Easterling Appreciation Week, but someone took forever to answer my very sneaky anonymous ask ;P The lovely miss poplitealqueen has been drawing people as dwarves, so I decided to return the favor XD (also now it’s a thank you for helping me through a super crappy night last night XD)  I meant to give her the piercing denoting a master artist since she said she would be a tattooist, but I realized 95% of the way through coloring that I didn’t do it right, oops >.> But I’ve never known a tattoo artist who didn’t have some of their own, so she has markings in both the blue of the western dwarves and the red of the Orocarni, as a sign of her mixed heritage ^^

Not as polished/finished as some of my other ones due to time, but I hope you like it!

Our Cartinelli shoot from Awesome Con (which basically turned into an adorable vintage lady date XP) We had a great time- got some outdoor shots in a little park area (it was so hot omg >.>) and then found this neat retro-style restaurant that made a nice location for the rest of the shoot. ❤ I just realized you can see the signature on my hat in the last photo, but oh well XP Too awesome to cover~

Another one done!  I’m on a roll xD

Bomfrís, everybody’s favorite socially awkward little sausage from Sansûkh ❤ After I did Stonehelm I figured I had to design her too xD A lot of people have given her the circular Bombur beard, so I wanted to experiment with making her look a lot more like him than my Barís without doing that.  There’s some of her mom in her too, in the eyes and when she smiles (which is lovely, if you can catch it XP), but she definitely has her Da’s nose and hair.  I wanted to give her a simple hairstyle she could do herself from a pretty young age (with so many kids, there wasn’t always time for her mom to help, so she got used to it), and messy since she doesn’t care that much about it (the ravens don’t care if her braids are in order XP).

I definitely wanted her to have her own look without being really conventionally pretty- I think it’s extra cute that she’s not a famous beauty like Gimris, but that as soon as Stonehelm sees her it’s just like “ah yes she is perfection *heart eyes*.” XD (That’s his courting bead back there in her hair ;P)

More drawing adventures~ Thorin Stonehelm from determamfidd‘s fic Sansûkh

This is my best attempt at “burly,” nooot my specialty XD I definitely can’t take as much credit for this design as usual XD I think the red beard originated with poplitealqueen, along with maybe him having some kind of blue face tats?  Though now the beard is fic canon anyways ;p I’m gonna go with this being some months after the siege, while his beard is growing back out.  We’re gonna ignore him having both the tusks and the braids, yes?  Yes. XD  Also, I expect he would be like his dad and not want to wear that heavy crown most of the time.  >.>

Elves everywhere!  My lovely Maedhros, rattle-and-burn, and I did a long photoshoot with the equally lovely ambrorussa at Katsucon~  Got some really nice individual shots of Fingon, since there have been a few tweaks since the first time I wore it (I believe Nelyo’s are
on her blog), and plenty of Russingon because we are complete shipper

Bomfris starts helping her mom with her hair instead, partly because Alris wants to come up with a special hairstyle for Bomfris for her wedding, and partly because with her dad gone, Bomfris wants to bond more personally with her mom (which was tough growing up in a huge family.) Alris manages something lovely with her daughter’s hair (but not so frilly that it doesn’t suit her), but Bomfris often finds herself comforting her mother, because doing her hair is when she misses Bombur the most.

Oh dear I just had a sad idea after doing that drawing. Baris looks a lot like Bofur, and you said that she was especially close to him- so I imagine when she was little and Bombur and Alris were busy he would look after her or take her around town with him. And because she looks so much like him people would mistake her as being his. He would laugh it off- probably joke that he has no idea how such a lovely little lady is related to him at all- but inside it would remind him how badly he

Thank goodness Bofur meets Gimris and the most awkward courtship in history begins. But. 

All those years watching Bombur’s family grow and grow – can’t remember how long, but it’s seventy years at least. All those years, all those kids, and Bofur wistfully dreaming of his own one day and never seeming to find it. Augh.

Yay, more dwarf ladies!  I love Barís Crystaltongue a lot (I get the feeling this is a popular opinion ;p) and I always thought the description of her traditional performer’s ornamentation was really pretty.  This is definitely not chapter 37- I’m thinking a much happier song, maybe at a festival or something.

Barís has the complexion and hair of her mother Alrís, but in features takes after her uncle Bofur and grandfather Bomfur more than her father, which was the subject of much good-natured teasing as she grew up (luckily the next few looked much more like their dad XD).

Also I’m gonna say that I really hope she gets her lady >.> I hate seeing her pine and be sad
