Happy belated birthday! And a minor Sansukh-related imagining: Mandos as a greedy bastard, a collector, entirely OCD about displaying mortal souls up in the original packaging like action figures, neatly arranged in elaborate tiers by family tree. Thorin calls him on it with absolute exasperation. “Sitting on all these souls like a dragon on his hoard! What difference would a single hobbit make?! DO YOU HONESTLY HAVE TO HAVE THE WHOLE SET? I ONLY WANT ONE. YOU NEVER PLAY WITH THEM….”

BAAAAAHAHAHAHAHA…!!!!!

“And here’s my pride and joy: my limited edition collection of Feanorians… unfortunately, one or two aren’t mint-condition any more…”

(Thank you, Nonnie!)

Bofur probably sells little costume sets at his toy shop. Like, a Bilbo costume -hobbit feet, a cape, a little toy sword.

OH MY GOD THIS IS AMAZING

baby Dwarves dressed as BILBO

the bubs with curly hair and/or not much beard yet OH JUST SO PROUD because they “look just like the Dragon Burglar, Mama!”

(Bilbo tagging along with Thorin one day to haunt Erebor, and spluttering for half an hour solid, while Thorin tries very hard not to beam at him and at the bubs dressed as his little thief and isn’t it a lovely day today?)

I’ll be posting this comic for the @fluffyfebruary bagginshield event, one page a day, I hope you guys like it ♥ its title means, roughly, “Lullabies of the Heart”

this had a curious creation, though, it was a wrong prompt fill for @emsiecat’s donation reward back in december. then, I had uploaded it (it was 6 pages long at the time) on my patreon for everyone to see (because I was sure I wouldn’t have the time to work on it) and then! @kettish asked me to keep on drawing it! so I did, and I’m frankly thankful for the nudge, I had a lot of fun with this! also, I need to say I’m sorry to divide it into 1 page/day posts, but it’s truly the best way to view each page, as I can crop it into two and make it short and sweet if you guys want to reblog your favorite pages, zoom in to read the dialogue or anything!
