So i got a hilarious meanie-weenie anon – p sure it’s our old friend ableist anon on my fic Azhâr. What impresses me the most is that they read six whole chapters. Six chapters is a LOT.
Six chapters is like, 70k. They read 70k of Bagginshield, to leave a hilariously ineffective anon.
As if that’s going to make me stop writing.

so, these are all PREDOMINANTLY Gigolas, where Gigolas is the main pairing (or has lots of development and focus) and not a background pairing!
Obviously there are some WIPS out there which would eventually make this list, but as Gigolas hasn’t made a real impact in those fics yet I wouldn’t want to rec them here and mislead you, Nonnie.

No really. It is AMAZING. Time-travel AU.
Northern Babylon by icarus_chained (Gen) (one-shot, complete) After four years fighting the war in the south, Gimli and Legolas have come back to their home city of New Rhovanion changed, and perhaps for the better. Gimli tries to make Elven Councillor Thranduil understand this, and understand that maybe there’s hope for more than just Gimli and Legolas as well.Incredible worldbuilding, AMAZING one-shot. Steampunk AU.

I have been having something of a hiatus, lately. First, I’ve been doing a fair bit of travelling… then work went bonkers, it’s all been piling up! I also had a bit of a scare recently. Plus someone decided to write a ‘review’ that was really just an excuse for bashing me, which really shook me up and completely sapped any desire I had to write at all. I’ve been lying low, but now I am taking baby steps to rekindle my inspiration and my fandom activities!
So yeah – I hope to have the new chapter (AW YISS WE’RE OFF TO MOUNT DOOOOOOOM MOTHERCUDDLERS) out very soon!
In the meanwhile, there is much gigolasy goodness going on (heh alliteration) in the form of gigolas week! I wrote two things for it: Both the Sweet and the Bitter (Arwen POV), and a Middle-Earth/Discworld crossover,
what else, what else… oh, I also sang a thing! If you ever wanted to hear an Australian trying a Scottish accent whilst singing Golden Age jazz, your day has arrived 🙂
I do apologise for the long delay. I am spending today writing, though (and also hopefully singing as well) so there will be more stuff in the very near future!!

A Discworld Crossover Collision.
The new Watch trainees are an odd bunch. There’s a Dwarf, of course, but that’s practically routine in Ankh-Morpork these days. There’s a couple of Men, one of whom has a shiny shiny sword. There’s a bunch of Hobbits, new to the city, one of whom is a little quiet and subdued. There’s even a Wizard (thanks to Vetinari’s damned blasted equal-employment quotias). And lastly there’s a suspiciously pointy bloke who swears he’s not an Elf, even if he sings just a little too much…
When one of Gimli’s cousins seems to miraculously return from the dead only to report another missing person, a chain of events is set in motion that leads to this bunch of mismatched raw recruits stumbling into a new, unpleasant and dangerous sort of investigation…
There probably exist several Bagginshield networks already, but I have now made a new one, and hopefully this one will be just as fun! This network is for people who enjoys the relationship and dynamics between Thorin and Bilbo, and all the despair and happiness that comes with it!
