I see a lot of kid!frodo and Thorin headcanons, and I love them to DEATH, don’t get me wrong. I really REALLY DO (drown me in fluff pls and thank)

but

there’s a little voice in my head that whispers, “Frodo was 21 when Bilbo adopted him…”

And so I sorta kinda want to see teenager Frodo headcanons? Bc Hobbits ‘come of age’ at 33. So Frodo is, at that age, for all intents and purposes, a teen (or ‘tween’ as Tolkien puts it…) 

How does he deal (or not deal!) with the expanding of his world? Is he okay with the child-one-day, adult-the-next nature of it? How does he deal with being treated as an adult-one-day, child-the-next, and only when it suits others? His body and brain are doing the most intense fandango they’ve done since he was two, that’s got to be fun. He’s outgrown the lies-to-children stage: how does he cope with the platitudes that adults use to fob off his opinions? bc I have never met a teenager who didn’t hate that with a passion. How would Bilbo and Thorin deal with that? How would Frodo?
