Moria

Six months previous to the Fellowship setting out from Rivendell (Scotland Yard) – a special unit of Erebor’s officers were selected by Superintendant Balin to aid in the retaking of Khazad-dum (Edinburgh) from gang control. Working undercover and in a contact blackout in a safehouse lovingly referred to as ‘Moria’, or the ‘Black Pit’ – Balin’s team included toughened old coppers and young technical specialists alike, and Gimli was sure that even though no contact had been made (even at the four month checkpoint) since they left – they’d help harbor the Fellowship in their passage though Edinburgh.

The Black Pit’s door was locked from the inside.

Detective Inspector (Mirkwood,Hampshire) Legolas Greenleaf – aged 34 – Legolas comes from a fairly privileged
background, his father being distantly related to some random offshoot of the
royal family. At university he discovered that he didn’t want to be a Lawyer as
he had originally planned (or indeed as his father had originally planned),
went off travelling the world for a couple of years, went wild for a while,
calmed down, came out, found his place in the world. Legolas decided that he’d rather
take a hands on approach to law and thus became a Police officer (and gained a
high level of respect and trust for refusing to let his father influence his
way up the ranks). His days of being a posh arrogant wanker mostly long gone,
but sometimes he says or does things that make his colleagues wonder if he
smoked too much whatever he smoked whilst abroad or whether he does actually
live in a little world of his own.
