I am utterly thrilled to bring to you the first chapter of my new long project: a podfic of Comes Around Again, by the marvelous scarletjedi. This story is one of my very favorites, and is actually the one I have wanted to podfic literally since the first day I started podficcing. However, I needed to develop several skill sets before I could attempt this project, including differentiating a bunch of dwarves in one recording, composing music, and many other things. I am so very happy to be starting at last. Thank you a thousand times to scarletjedi for recording permission, and to poplitealqueen, who kindly agreed to let me use her cover art.

I can make no guarantees as to how often this podfic is going to update. Each chapter is close to the longest thing I have ever recorded in one sitting, and there are other technical considerations that are going to make this one slower to produce than some other projects, but I can promise that I will podfic the entirety of the story eventually.

He had his horn back, miracles of miracles, and it looked as if someone with no little skill had taken tool to it to finally hammer out the damage inflicted by the goblins. He pulled Gimli into a tight hug. “I knew you’d make our way back to us,” Oin said. “All the signs point to our victory.”

And there, atop the tallest tower, a Dwarvish windlance–a broken memorial to the destruction of the wrath of dragons.

Laketown was exactly that–a town built on Long Lake. Several man-made islands carried carious houses that pitched and tilted with the sway of the water. The roads were waterways, lined with footpaths and crossed by the occasional bridge. The whole town seemed to stink of poverty and fish.

do you and scarletjedi coordinate to post in similar times so the gigolas fandom has periods of calm and the explosions of feels? NOT THAT I’M COMPLAINING.. but, world domination? That’s the endgame right?

Actually, this was a complete coincidence (this time!!). We’ve tag-teamed our chapters once or twice, but on a few occasions – like today – it just seems to happen!

OH MY GOD. This is AMAZING. His hair! That smile! Facial proportions AHHHHH, *rolls about in the amazingness* That frame! The colours! The facets on the Lady’s Gift! Gimli just seems to glow. I love this so much!
