I pretty much fell in love with legolas’ family so of course I had to try sketching them! I’ve always head cannoned that elves don’t actually have pupils, they just have spots of color that zoom down to pin points when they’re sleeping. Your lovely writing made me headcanon that the votes ended up inheriting kind of wavy wild hair from their mother.

ME REACTING: HOLY HECK THIS IS AMAZING!! I love your style, how flowing and graceful and art-nouveau-y and elvish your lines are! I can see the personalities just shining out of each of them, and you’ve chosen their outfits SO perfectly (oh Laerophen, you reserved and high-collared beanpole you!!!) – I love enigmatic, stately Thranduil, and Laindawar’s armour and his challenging expression, and ofc Legolas isn’t paying attention, but is watching the squirrels chasing each other in the trees…!

Concept Based on this Thing I Reblogged: So let’s say Gimli and Legolas end up being part of the Galaxy Far Far Away and they are totally at home with the Rebellion.

Also, Gimmers and Leggy are the reason why the Rogue One team survives instead of being Death Star toast. So they end up adopting the entire Rogue One crew because REASONS, that’s why.

And because I cannot conceive of a universe that has Leggy and Gimmers together without thinking of @determamfidd and Sansukh, the Ghostly Peanut Gallery gets to watch all the shenanigans!  They get to adopt the Rogue One gang! And Skywalkers later on!

(Also, I cannot get over Legolas and Gimli mourning with Leia over the loss of Alderaan and exchanging mourning customers with her and maybe helping her with her elaborate braids, y/y?)

I AM SO HAPPY you enjoyed it! And oh gosh, my mind is basically on the fritz, it’s so gratifying to hear that I made Sauron and the Ring’s danger and power seem more immediate. I really wanted to make their power feel more threatening and urgent… something of a challenge when one of them is a bit of bling and the other is a disembodied eye stuck on a giant toothpick!!!
