426,107 words and 40 chapters and still ongoing Sansûkh is a beautifully written story where Thorin Oakenshield wakes up in the halls of his ancestors and is given a gift from his maker that makes it so he can talk to the living through their most sub conscious thoughts, some however hear him better then others and no one can hear him easier then Gimli. This story is absolutely wonderfully written and so heart breakingly sad at points but unbearably joyful at others that at times I am left both crying and laughing at the same time, no story has ever made me cry so much. I just had to rec this fic for the first week before any others because I have never read any others that struck so deeply as this and it isn’t even done!!!!! I imagine it will make me cry many more times before it is done with me. It is truly my favorite fanfiction and if I could have it as an actual book to carry around, though it would make quite a large one, I would carry it everywhere. I really implore anyone who is a LOTR fan and love dwarves (there is so much dwarf love!!! Dets really does their research!!) to read this, it is really worth the time it takes.
