A proposal: instead of Glorfindel’s hair falling like a normal person’s, instead it goes up. Or more or less so. Pretty much just in all directions besides what direction hair is meant to go. Even if you headcanon Glorfindel’s hair to be very long, he is literally the sun as in it is impossible to not see him anywhere. Plus, his height only adds to the effect.

I found this old drawing of Elwing on my WIP folder, it’s kinda spooky and melty

#oh man I would have been so much more into this whole saga if someone had told me that elwing was a winged monstrosity #it makes the whole affair so much more interesting #(one of the reasons that elrond’s story is so fascinating is because at first glance he is polished; smooth #kind as summer wise as a wizard #but that lordly persona is holding back this family history of bloodshed and loss and monstrosity #as much as I love my headcanon that celeborn and elrond were bros and that celeborn pushed him towards celebrian #I also have to wonder if #elrond was some damaged goods #that even the high regard of gil-galad and the honors he’d won in the war #could not entirely make up for #the child born of a bird and a star; raised by maglor #prince to a kingdom that sank into darkness and the sea #abandoned by his brother #he watched his king and hero (and something-almost-like-a-father) fall to preserve their race #……..elrond is always sad)
