Fic meme: 31, 32 and 47?

31. do people know that you read fan fiction? my husband does! (he knows i write it too, and i’ve used him as a ‘beta’ a couple times aslkjklaj) no one else really knows but then again i’m not a big socialite so there aren’t many other people in my life, really, except my fandom friends who know i read it, and some ‘work buddies’ who definitely don’t know.
32. do you leave reviews after reading fics? if so, what do they sound like? OMG yes i do, most of the time, and i flip flop between sounding like this: “LSKJLKSJDLDFJLKDF OMG I’M SCREMAING WTF HOW COULD YOU”, and this: “Wow, this was incredible and amazing and I loved everything about it. Your use of literary device and also this other smart thing you did really made this fic, blah, blablahblah”
as a fic writer i appreciate both types of comments, so i hope other authors do too lol

47. if you had to introduce someone to fan fiction with a couple fics, which would you suggest? it is insanely hard to choose. i would send them to my bookmarks. if forced i would say Clarity of Vision by mithen,

So i got a hilarious meanie-weenie anon – p sure it’s our old friend ableist anon on my fic Azhâr. What impresses me the most is that they read six whole chapters. Six chapters is a LOT.

Six chapters is like, 70k. They read 70k of Bagginshield, to leave a hilariously ineffective anon.

As if that’s going to make me stop writing. 

So if you want to read a Bagginshield fic with other pairings, slow-burn with lots of representation of mental illness, check it out!

My absolute favourite fanfics ever

Holy hell I can not recommend this fanfic enough. Gorgeous poems, writing that manages to be completely heart wrenching but hilarious at the same time, safe for Dáin fans… Gigolas and Bagginshield fans are likely to adore this one. It also features varied and super epic OCs that make sense in the world around them. If you haven’t read it already I highly recommend you do.

Bonus: the author is really super nice.

OK so I only recently actually started reading this absolute literary masterpiece, despite seeing it around and I immediately regret not reading it before. The story is gripping, characters seem natural and it. has. dragons! Need I say more?

If you’re a fan of Haikyuu!! and HTTYD this is possibly the best way the two could have come together. The blend is so freaking natural, becoming something new and amazing. The pairing in this… or, at least, the ones that have been confirmed (there are some others that I’m side-eyeing) are KageHina, DaiSuga, AsaNoya and IwaOi.
