This year has been a whirlwind. In addition to the myriad celebrity deaths, I lost two outernet friends and two laptops. There were fights with family and arguments with loved ones, but none that were permanent. I fell in love.
I made a whole bunch of new fandom friends, and got even closer with old ones. I got to meet @aviva0017 in person for the first time (and she is even more gorgeous in person, shut the fuck up oh my god). Shoutout to @flukeoffate, @the-dragongirl, @notanightlight, @peggaboo-draws, @morvidra, @theriza, for always being around if I need to vent. Sansukh Cast Therapy has been a highlight of this year. Let’s hope it continues to grow and be the light that we all need it to be.
I would be remiss if I didn’t mention @determamfidd; she is an incredible writer, an amazing person, and a fierce friend. I don’t have the words to describe what she means to me, and how grateful I am that she is a part of my life; I’d be a very different person if I hadn’t met her. Thank you, Dets. Thank you.
I went to Quebec for Halloween! My girlfriend @internaljohnologue flew me up there for a week to visit her for the first time, and I had a fucking blast. I spoke in a Quebecois accent for a week when I got home.
And finally, however much of a shitshow this year has been, it was the year that I got to meet @heuristicdevice in person, twice. The first time was in May, when she conspired with my husband to surprise me with a visit. The second time was for her birthday this November, where I was in cahoots with @aviva0017 and HD’s roommate to surprise her, only to cave two days before the trip and blab the whole thing. I’m terrible at surprises, apparently. Bright side, I made her cry with happiness, so. Win for me.
I adore you all, and I can’t wait to see what this next year has in store. (Hopefully a more updated podfic schedule OOPS)

This is a post of love for @fuckthisimgoingtoerebor. Over a year ago now, Ricky quite accidentally got me (any so many others) into podfic through the @sansukhpodfic. Now, over a year, many conversations, and many podfic collaborations later, they remain one of the people who makes it most worth it to be a part of the podfic fandom. They have encouraged me, helped me make friends in the fandom, and given me lots of opportunities to stretch my skills as a podficcer. They have been unfailingly supportive and kind to so many of us, and I love them for it.
Ricky is one of the very most wonderful, fantastic, giving, kind and simply good people I’ve ever met, online or otherwise. In my whole damned life. An amazing soul, an amazing artist, a genuinely incredible person.
The amount of work they do is off-the-charts. They’re astonishingly generous with their time and help, handing out resources or a listening ear, and it’s all done with such incredible care and love. I’m gaspingly overwhelmingly glad to call you friend.

As @fuckthisimgoingtoerebor can attest, the chapters started short and GREW. They were initially around 4-5K long.
Chapter 41 is 21K long.

I am cutting back now, to between 12-15K per chapter. Chapter 42 was 14K, which felt manageable. I aim to keep them all at around that length from here on!
Dets’ reaction posts are always so gratifying to read. I wonder if this is how she feels every time she posts a new chapter and everyone blarghs capslocky feelings all over her? Because it’s nifty.

Greetings from the sunny southwestern United States! I surprised Ricky with a visit and, since we were in the same physical location, forced them to do a video greeting for the project together with a few minor updates on where we are at. It’s two and a half minutes of us blithering awkwardly you about how excited we are. Enjoy!
We’re still alive, we promise! We are working diligently on chapter three for you guys; this chapter is extremely involved (sooooo many characters and dialogue cuts!), and Ricky had major surgery that prevented them from doing much of anything (having one’s mouth swell up to twice the normal size isn’t very conducive to talking, much less recording narration). Things are picking up though, and we’ve got the chapter cobbled together in full.
We adore each and every one of you, and we are so, so grateful that you’re sticking with us.
