Debbie hit the GBR too? Fuck damn it. My friend’s been calling it the ‘soccer mum from hell’ and I think I might be starting to agree. Hope you and yours make it through this okay

‘the soccer mum from hell’ – LMAAAAAAAO oh my god, PERFECT.

Yeah, just read it on the Brisbane Times – it got the GBR, apparently. Because destroying people’s homes was apparently not enough for Debbie.

(I’m still trying to get over the idiots who went surfing during a cyclone, are they SERIOUS)

You too, Nonnie. Stay safe, stay dry, all the best to everyone out there watching the sky piss down on us. I’m off to pick up my Dwarfling from daycare now.

(1)Oh god the ficlet with Thorin and the fauntling is so preeeecioooouuus *3* I imagine that, when Thorin moves to the Shire with Bilbo after handing the crown to Fíli some years after the quest (shhhh, nobody died), the little fauntling …

(2) … has grown into a pretty hobbit lass and still remembers how Thorin saved her! She asks Thorin to be at her wedding, and Bilbo is very cross with his husband that he didn’t tell him that he saved a fauntling when he got lost in the Shire x3

AHHH INJAAAA ❤

NOBODY GOT HURT, HAHAHA YES, THOSE ARE LIES SPREAD BY MORGOTH I am so thrilled you liked it, thank you! ! that nice Nonnie sparked an image of Thorin braced in a tree, with a shy little Hobbit lass tentatively poking at his shoulder, it was soooo cute, I had to write it!

AAaaaah! You know the best part about this idea…

it means that Thorin and Bilbo went to the wedding of Hamfast and Bell Gamgee. And I really freaking love that idea. (SMOL SAM WITH HIS HONORARY ODD UNCLES)

Bell telling every fauntling that wants to listen how nice this dwarf was. Bell telling her children that when they’re ever in trouble and she or her husband aren’t close to yell for Thorin, because he WILL save them. Thorin offering the best piggy-back rides to the littlest fauntlings. Thorin teaching all the fauntlings how to swim after Frodo’s patents drown and he realises that most hobbits can’t swim.

More ALEP singing XD I ended up (drunkenly) singing the setting I’ve been working on of determamfidd‘s Song of Beginnings from Sansukh the first night of the event, and everybody loved it (both the lyrics and the music) and ended up asking me to (drunkenly) sing it again the second night.  By the end, people were joining in with the last line of each verse, it was kind of wonderful. ❤

(I’m actually working on a choral arrangement of this, I was trying to sort of keep it hidden til then, but that preview I put on soundcloud has like a gazillion plays for some reason, so fuck it XD)

(ngl Avi, half of those plays on soundcloud are probably me XD)

Sweet merciful GOD. *shivers*

Okay – first, your voice. You have such a beautiful, beautiful voice. There is such a gorgeous, pearly, clear tone, and you have amazing control and brightness – it’s right into the mask there, and your vowels and phrasing and pitch and rubato and OHGOD *clutches face* AHHHH it is so BEAUTIFUL. *flails at you very intensely* AVIIIII

SECOND: THE TUNE. OH MY GOOD GRAVY. People are joining in with the refrain, just. GAHHH. It has that solemn sacred feeling, that magical depth and vastness, the simplicity of plainsong, the grandeur of a hymn, the plaintive ache of a song that promises acceptance… one day. The repeated high motif before the refrain makes me tear up each time, I am not kidding.

Blessed be Mahal and the mercy of the Avi One.
