I don’t think I’m emotionally ready for Dis’ death.

Scratch that, I know I’m not.

On one hand, I’ve been looking forward to it since the beginning of the story, and that only increased when it was revealed that Vili spent every day in the chamber watching her. Her family is mostly dead, she’ll be happier with them.

But then, I thought of it more deeply. Dis, old and sick and just so tired that nothing else seems to matter. Even Gloin’s star isn’t enough, and so she is slowly fading by inches until the day she just can’t get up anymore.

And then there will be the reunion in the Halls. She will see her sons, the mother she likely barely remembers, her grandfather and father and brothers. Her husband, killed far too soon. And there’ll be crying and reunions and maybe even a punch for Thorin and scoldings for her sons, and dear God I’m not emotionally ready for this.

@determamfidd how could you do this? I just got over Bombur’s death, not to mention Dain’s.
