Thranduil somehow sees Legolas with his shirt off and notices that his son has a tattoo on his chest, right over/near his heart. It’s a dwarven symbol with letters around it. When Thranduil looks it up, it turns out that it’s Gimli’s family crest, encircled by Gimli’s name. In Erebor, Gloin sees a similar tattoo over/near Gimli’s heart.
This is supposed to be the second part my other little comic of Legolas getting sick. He gets worse and becomes mostly delirious with fever and his companions have to stop their journeying and take care of him.
Not pictured: Leggy complaining about being cold and Aragorn wrapping him up like a sickly caterpillar.
Now that gigolas has passed 1k on AO3, let’s have a gigolas week to get us closer to 2k!

I imagine, because of how good elvish medicine and all that is, Legolas has never had to deal with any really bad illnesses. Which he then takes for granted that elves just typically don’t get sick, that is, until he is no longer living around other elves anymore.
Also I caught a cold and I must express my suffering through fictional characters lol…
