I am so very excited to present to you all: a podfic of So Cloaked and So Crowned, by @determamfidd. This podfic is special to me in so many ways. First, because it’s been a long time in progress (I started working on this over a month ago). Second because Dets actually composed a piece of original music to serve as the intro and extro for this, and I got to perform that with her (that music will be posted on tumblr soon). Third, because I commissioned @poplitealqueen to draw the cover, and what she came up with is AMAZING.

And finally, because this is my 50th podfic. That’s right folks; in the roughly half a year I have been doing this, I have posted a total of 50 of these. It has been quite the journey. I have gone from not really know that podfic is a thing to having it consume my free time entirely. Yet I have no regrets, because podficcing has brought me so much joy, and so many good friends. Here’s to the next 50!

So just how badly does Gimli freak out over Legolas’s OP stunts? Like, does he only worry a little cuz he knows that Leggie can handle himself? Or does he have borderline heart attacks when he see’s Leggie doing things like Cirque du Soleil-ing around on top of a huge-ass elephants? (And how hard does Gimli have to resist swooning cuz yes that was reckless all get out but SWEET MAHAL that shit was HOT!!)

Finding Comfort by scarletjedi (G, 7k, heavily book canon, fills in some missing gaps, pretty much enemies to friends to lovers)

Promise by cimorene (M, 12k, first time)

Little Differences by Amuly (E, 5k, four things Leggy and Gimli found different between them, and that one thing that was the same)

The Secrets of the Lonely Mountain by Lisafer (G, 14k, cultural misunderstandings, “Legolas is sent to Erebor after the War of the Ring, where he’s given the chance to meet up with Gimli again”, mostly book-verse)

The Myriad Adventures of Goblin Mutant and Graceless Cat by chapstickaddict  (T, 23k, mostly cracky, happens after The Hobbit, Fili babysits everyone and is 100% done, Leggy and Gimli are adorable)

Impartial Judge by bigmamag (E, 46k, WIP, Harry Potter crossover, Leggy is Beauxbatons champion at the Triwizard Tournament and Gimli’s the Durmstrang champion, this fic is super good go read it!!!)

Snowmelt by determamfidd (E, 8,8k, outtake from Sansûkh but can be read separately if you haven’t read it, so much smut)
