Part two of my gigolas comic from the fee&kee social media au taken from various headcanons that were sent to me and a few of my own. someone suggested haldir as the asshole boyfriend but i love haldir soooo im just gonna be vauge whoops sorry

so gimli and legolas have that kinda “act like assholes but are actually best friends” thing goin on and keep posting vids and pics of each other on their various social media platforms (see related videos on fee&kee’s channel) but gimli’s boyfriend isnt too thrilled about it. 

Your fic-writing-progress-updates are the very opposite of annoying. They give hope and life to my soul. :) No but seriously, I’m just so impressed that you’re keeping up with this and not crumbling under the combined pressure of motherhood and work and all these invisible internet people breathing down your neck. The only thing more impressive than the quality of your writing is the quantity of your writing…what a combo! You rock!

I just wanted to let you know that I am SO looking forward to Legolas hearing the gulls. (its like one of my fave scenes in the books) (ive been hyping myself up for it for chapters now and as we journey towards it im grinning with glee to see what you’ll do with it) (assuming that you will of course) (i love seeing how artists reinterpret canon and sansukh has been bountiful in bringing interesting insights to the canon) anyway yeah been super enjoying ur work, have a great day!!

Look they’re colored and they have a silly frame! Colored with Copic markers.  Edited in Photoshop.
OMG I almost forgot Gimli’s mourning Tattoos! Now with Kili’s crest peaking over the left shoulder blade!

EDIT: (updated 10:30 PM PST) Added Gimli’s coming of age tattoos (top band) and Warrior’s mark (bottoms band with the diamonds). Entirely made up by me. (small headcanon that maybe Dwarrows comes up with the pattern for their coming of age tatt. Also the diamond pattern inspired by the diamonds on Dwalin’s knuckles I figured maybe they were his warrior’s mark.)

wait, dets, sorry to bother you with trivial questions, but when does Gimli realize that Legolas is his One? will you reveal that later in the story or would you be willing to tell us now? Thank you so much for Sansukh btw, I’m rereading it and just fangirling over how wonderful it is. Seriously you have wonderful talent as a writer. You have a truly amazing story.

Welp, we are going to hear that from Gimli (very soon, in fact!) in the story itself, so I won’t go into too much detail here. BUT, in the scene in Chapter 30, in the tent upon Dunharrow, Gimli tells Thorin that he has ‘known the other half of me since the Mahal-cursed river!’ 

Angry and defensive Dwarf is angry and defensive, in other shocking news water rumoured to be wet

So, Gimli is referring to their little boat-ride on Anduin, after their reconciliation in Lothlorien. That’s when he first knew he was developing feelings of a slightly squishy nature for the pointy-eared princeling.
