After Gimli enters the halls, do he and Kili and Narvi get together and get drunk and complain about their respective idiot elves? And together they count down the time until Dagor Dagorath and make sure they’re all ready, because by Mahal they *will* see their elves again, and no stupid dark vala will stop them

I feel that this now absolutely must happen.

(if anybody else overheard them and tried to agree about ‘DUMB ELVES’ they would probably get tankards thrown at them)

do you think dwarves would be fond of children of other races?dwarves with children is so cute, I like to think they would generally love all children they came across, but that’s just me :)

I absolutely do. I think that, on the whole, the vast majority of Dwarvenkind would be very indulgent and loving towards all children, no matter the race. 

I have even put that into the story! Check out how Gimli acts around Freda and Eothain! (and he hasn’t interacted with Bergil yet, but give it time)

But Gloin being confused over Thorin calling Gimli his star and being like “Thorin NO he’s too young and too closely related to you besides I thought you were still hung up on Mr. Baggins!” and Thorin trying to explain that no Gimli is a son of his heart and yes he does love Mr. Baggins (while in the corner Frerin’s totally losing it as Fili and Kili pretend to defend their little cousin’s honor against their uncle)

Oh poor Gloin. *pats him* ILU baby. You’re my fave hot dad. 

(Nori is taking bets on what will get him to explode. Gloin is very clever and has mellowed somewhat with age, but he’s still himself!)

Was trying to practice my dwarf anatomy so I did Gimli’s back from Sansukh! Mostly though, it was an excuse to do the mourning marks on Gimli’s back finally. I could say it’s from the bath scene in chapter 22, but Gimli has his underthings on then and I wanted to draw his butt. Might try to do a Leggy to go with him later if I feel inspired. I’m just very pleased with how this turned out. (I hope you enjoy determamfidd!)
