Since everybody is sharing their faves, I must say that while I love absolutely /everyone/, Gimris, Jeri and Narvi are my biggest loves. <3

EEEEE THANK YOUUUU omg thank you so so much!

I’ve done Gimris and Narvi, so here’s what Jeri would do, if you told them that they were your fave!

They’d probably trip over their own feet, frankly. And then they’d blurt, “really? Me? Really?”

Then they’d absoLUTEly shout you a drink, and they’d try not to give big wide-eyed looks at you the whole time. But it would fail – a lot. Their eyes would keep steering over to you over their tankard, and they’d have to keep wrenching them back so they weren’t staring at you in happy dopey gratitude.

And so, their aura of Terrible Competent Coolness would be punctured forever. 😉

Since we all seem to be taking turns with this- as awesome as Hrera, Orla and Dwerís are… snarky, brilliant, fierce, mithril-precious Narvi is everything to me. (pls publish this heartfelt statement Dets)

*heart eyes* AWW RIPPY hey there, friend ❤

Narvi would grunt in answer, fully preoccupied with what she is working upon. She’s always busy with something, and she’s nearly there… nearly… there… if she just adjusts this cog, then perhaps.. ach, no. All right, back from the beginning…

Later on (much, much later on), she would look up from her work and blink her sore eyes, and say very loudly and in some amount of shock: “Wait, what was that you said?!”

(Your every gift would be a miracle of engineering genius from that day on.)

Tbh my faves are Gimris and Balinith

AWWWWWWWWWW ❤ Thank you, lovely nonnie!!

Gimris would be all “Really? Well, there’s a thing! That’s terribly kind of you, you dinnae have to say such nice things – though if you said it in front of my Warg of a brother I’d be eternally grateful…”

Balinith would go a bit shy and bashful, I think. He’d stay close though, grinning to himself and hovering nearby, listening and learning. And when he finds his confidence again, welp! Prepare yourself to read every book, clarify all the words, listen to all the explanations, and also help with ALL the Important Experiments! You’ve been given the Balinith Seal of Approval 🙂

I’d like to put in a vote for Dis as the best. Yes, she’s canon, but Tolkien gave us NOTHING about her and you took that and RAN with it and I love the direction you chose for her.

(ahhh thank you, thank you SO MUCH nonnie! I deliberately steered her character away from the popular Dis-depiction that was common when I first began the story, and I am SO SO GLAD you like where I took her! It felt like the most risky choice ever, at the time!!)

Dis would probably say thank you too, thank you very much. She’d say it quietly, and baldly, and with an undercurrent of steely, sad dignity.

Hey! I have a question if that’s ok?? I was rereading through the awesomeness that is sansukh and I saw in one part thorin was yelling that thranduil will ask for the white gems next. Does this mean in sansukh canon bilbo never gave them to thranduil after botfa, like he did in the book? Or was thorin still getting used to being dead that he didn’t know bilbo gave the elf king them? Thanks!! (I love your writing so much)

Hey Nonnie!

Bilbo did NOT give Thranduil the white gems in the book – the white gems (and their background story etc etc) are an invention of the movies.

All the book says is that the Elvenking is fond of white gems.

Bilbo gave the Elvenking a silver and pearl necklace, actually, one that Dain had gifted to him 🙂

(Thorin didn’t know, and that is probably for the best, lmao)
