My Dísith costume is here, and fits a~MAZE~ing! So much thanks to @houkakyou for the impeccable work done on the clothes and to @determamfidd for the amazing writing that brings characters to life and makes me want to do something in her honor.

Note to self: hair needs to be poofier, lace the bodice tighter, and find beard and boots and jewelry.

Dísith’s bodice is all done except for armscye binding! It’s partially boned (only seven this time, compared to 22 in my Thuringwethil cincher!) to keep the front flat, the back straight, and the straps up. The red silk already had little medallions embroidered onto it, but I took the time to embroider woven stars on top of each medallion in red, gold, pale gold, and white. (84 stars! I counted. XD)

I made it to fit my model, who is much smaller than me, but I’m glad it kind-of-almost fits me; that means that I can sell it to someone in the small OR medium size range, instead of just small (like my model), since I’m M/L. The linen knickers I made also *just barely* don’t fit me, so this outfit can fit a bigger size range than the Arwen dress I made a few weeks ago. 

Next up: cotton (linen? my fabric stash will inform me) chemise & (fake) leather split skirt. This costume is coming along well!

@determamfidd I’m making a dwarf costume to put up in my shop, but I’m sizing it to my friend so we can do a photoshoot first – does this design strike you as any particular (hopefully black haired) sansukh character? Made for boobs but can be nb etc 🙂

Could be Kara, with black hair! Or perhaps Beri, Jeri’s mum 🙂
