if helga hufflepuff isn’t ur favorite founder then ur wrong because when all the other founders were like ‘i’ll teach the smart ones’ and ‘i’ll teach the aristocratic ones’ and ‘i’ll teach the ones who r willing to fight bears with their teeth’ helga was just like ‘fuck that i’ll teach anybody who wants to learn’ and thats how u do education

pros and cons of hufflepuff house

pros:

  • the best damn friend you could ever ask for
  • hard working as hell and will get the job done
  • open minded and caring, and willing to prove it
  • they give people the benefit of the doubt and care first, but if you prove to be a dick they will turn on you so fast
  • sass queens
  • the best at researching problems and solving them logically
  • the most respectful kids you could meet

cons:

  • too willing to give second chances
  • grudges that last for a thousand years if you cross their friends
  • self sacrificing
  • big on the “don’t fight hate with hate” movement
  • they’re really hard working so if they set their minds to something they might end up running themselves and others to the ground because of their goals
  • stubborn and opinionated, even if they’re open minded no one will talk the out of their beliefs
  • least likely out of the houses to understand why someone might want to break ties with others

So people have been asking you about daemons and the characters. Not sure if you’ve thought about it at all but which HP houses would you choose for your characters? (despite people wanting to put Bilbo in Ravenclaw I’d actually think him more natural in Slytherin. And Thorin in Gryffindor for obvious reasons)

Heya there, awesome to hear from you again!

Actually… I’ve done these! 😀 Here, and here, and here, and here!

I personally hc Bilbo as a Gryffindor, and I completely blame @linddzz for my love of Slytherin!Thorin 🙂 But the thing about HP sorting headcanons is that it’s so subjective, and so many characters can fit into more than one house without stretching the imagination!

life hack: be best friends with a slytherin. they will steal cupcakes for you from work and tell you to drop toxic people from your life with no reservations. they will be the ones ordering you to stop and breathe and call in sick, to screw your commitments if they see you’re sacrificing your mental health. they’re the ones to say “don’t you dare settle” and “you deserve better” in a ruthless, matter-of-fact tone. they’ll be the ones saying it’s okay to put yourself first, the voice you need to hear after a long day or week or month. trust me, be best friends with a slytherin.

how can you be so fucking lucky though?

you write shitty fanfiction and get the chance to turn it into a book

and then you get a fucking movie on top of it

why can’t this happen to me

my fanfics are also shitty and cater to the fantasy of many women

only difference is that i don’t romanticise domestic abuse

every fanfiction-author out there.

If only it was “luck”

Great fandom history at that link, and analysis of some specific dynamics in the Twilight fandom’s relationship to canon.

Also has links, is you go down, as to why older fandom people tend to hate Cassandra Claire/City Of Bones.
