I imagine, because of how good elvish medicine and all that is, Legolas has never had to deal with any really bad illnesses. Which he then takes for granted that elves just typically don’t get sick, that is, until he is no longer living around other elves anymore.

Also I caught a cold and I must express my suffering through fictional characters lol…

About the larger text… this is a blessing. I have been squinting at my phone for months. I’m so excited to reread this! Unfortunately I have grad school yelling at me to write more papers of my own, but, I will find the time! I’m so pleased and surprised that dets took the time to paste all of that text over, this fic is so blasted long, but I suppose that’s why we all love her.

akgf.asdhgfakjsdfhgakjhfa, you are SO sweet, ahhh *buries head in blankets* I hope you enjoy the re-read! (and good luck with grad school!)

Awww, it wasn’t a big deal! Glad to do it. I had a bit of time bc I am at home (I’m not very well at the moment, unfortunately) so it was nice to have something positive but not-too-challenging to do! It made a nice change from coughing up a lung and half-watching dinosaur documentaries.

(I really like dinosaur documentaries okay).

But yeah, if anyone wants anything about it changed for greater reading ease, just let me know! Background colour, font style or size, whatevers. I am at your service, shoot me a line!

no but seriously determamfidd is a gift to us all & i can forgive her for ruining my life w/ this fic purely because it’s so awesome

sorry sorry about the delay! I AM TRYING I STG, but my sick Dwarfling sorta takes precedence (a cold and an ear infection, LOVELY. Fun times here!)

I have the whole chapter plotted out, plus some of Ch40 as well. I am planning something pretty special for the big 4-0, to reward all lovely readers for their patience! Thank you so much, and I’m SO THRILLED you enjoyed the sneak peek! (Thira is my unexpected fave atm, she is so amazing I love her – and Baris you sweetie, go get your lady ❤ )

Um, I sent a headcanon (and general flailing about the newest chapter) a few days ago. Did they go through? (If you didn’t have time to answer, that’s fine! I just wanted to ask because I have really bad internet and sometimes things don’t get sent.

Ahhh, I honestly don’t know which would be yours, Nonnie! There are a few anonymous messages/headcanons here I haven’t gotten to yet. I’ve been trying to answer my way through ‘em, but little dwarflings who are sick with colds are very very attention-grabby. So I haven’t had the time to devote to all of them yet. I’ve gotten through… perhaps ¾ths already?

I’m sorry, Nonnie – that answer’s not much help, I know. You can always try again if you think your internet borked on you! I’d be thrilled to hear your ideas (and thank you, glad you liked the newest chapter!).

Fundin seems to be a vomit-magnet. Part of it is that he’s really good with sick kids – he’s very patient and will sit with them for hours, telling stories and playing games. Also he just has horrendously bad luck – he’s often in the wrong place at the wrong time when someone has food poisoning or otherwise throws up.

awwwwwwwwww, I am having a surge of fellow-feeling for Fundin rn. The Dwarfling has a cold, and she is the gloopiest, runniest, most miserable little possum ever. Lots of hugging her as she drips on me. Poor little sweet-pea.

I bet Fundin is the one with the hankie and the soft words and the hug, too. Carries them around until the sad hiccup-breathing calms down. Ignoring the mess on him, bc the child is far more important right now.

Poor thing! Always at the wrong place at the wrong time, aww!

Groin would laugh until he choked hahaha
