So a little while ago determamfidd posted this thing about Dis’s reunion in the Halls with her family that sort of wrecked everyone and the little bit about the reunion with Thorin stuck with me so I started working on this when I finished my commissions. The coloring job is pretty messy but I’m pretty happy with it (and I got to do stretch marks on dis! that was fun)

The wonderful determamfidd commissioned me to draw her Sansukh OCs Genild and Beri (Aka Jeri’s Mums!!!!). Words cannot express how pleased I was to get to draw older lady dwarf wives. I also cannot express how grateful I am to have Dets tell me things like ‘run wild; I trust your designs’. Talk about making me feel good about myself.

The greatest challenge of this was trying to figure out how to make Genild’s beard look ‘wiry’ in my style without it looking completely ridiculous. I think it succeeded lol. Then I made Beri’s beard super luscious to compensate haha. Beri’s beard is envied for miles around! Aaaahh I’m super pleased with this I hope you like it Dets! They’re also both veterans so I got to give them oodles of scars!

AND GENILD OH GOD I LOVEHER LOVEHER LOVEHER, her beautiful amber eyes and her scars and those gorgeous gold-bound braids!!! VETERAN OF THE BOTFA, WARRIOR OF THE IRON HILLS, LOVING WIFE AND PROUD MA. 

How can I not trust your amazingness, Lace, when you brought these two beautiful ladies to life so spectacularly??? THANK YOU THANK YOU, I love them ahhh so so so much!!

Completed commission(scene illustration) for poplitealqueen for her upcoming chapter in Of Iron. (Omg she let me read piece of it so I could do this scene. It’s so good guys! Just you wait). I loved doing this so much.

bonus dain’s iron foot, because I was really proud of it but I ended up cutting it off with the wall lol.

So, ‘Of Iron’ is a fic by poplitealqueen where Dain Ironfoot decided to join the Quest of Erebor. Only two chapters so far but I’m hooked. Pop manages to blend movie and book canon very well while at the same time bringing us all those little scenes we were missing out of both(Like Thorin getting lost!). All with the major bonus of her Charming af Dain. I Highly recommend it and so I made it a cover! (based on the idea that Dain would give a little smirk to Thorin’s surprise when he agrees to come)

Oh man remaking Thror’s map with my own little added flourishes was super difficult. I HOPE YOU LIKE IT POP!

Guess who got their computer to work long enough to color and shade a WHOLE PICTURE! It’s poplitealqueen‘s beautiful Bilbo Baggins. And Sting of course. I love Designing various Stings. I HAD SO MUCH FUN WITH THIS, I really hope you like him Pop. (And I covered his ears back up hehehe. That headcanon was too cute not to.)

and now back to working o the MOUNTAIN of projects I’m supposed to be doing

determamfidd asked for a Gloin redesign. Now with proper Forked Beard, white hood, and silver chain. (Can you tell that I’m a little bitter about the hoods not being in the movies?). It was so fun to give him the colorings that I give Gimli now when I do him. (He looks a lot like my gimli which is of course on purpose lol)

I love his tatts and his beautiful beard (YES, twin forks woooop!) and that earring is awesome, I sortakinda want it a lot ❤

Okay Complete Baris Crystaltongue that I did for fishfingersandscarves‘s birthday. It’s still pretty messy but getting my computer to behave long enough to actually let me color anything is like pulling teeth so this was a bit of a speed paint. I adore Baris( From determamfidd‘s magnificent Sansukh) and with that WONDERFUL last teaser that Dets released it seemed appropriate to update this now.
