Eastern US Sansukh Cast Get-Together was, in spite of several snafus (including a late bus that caused Alris and I to nearly miss Legolas, and a half hour train delay that resulted in me getting to find out firsthand what the greyhound stations of DC and Baltimore are like) a success!. Because we are all dwarven dorks (except Legolas, who is TOTALLY a dwarf by marriage, and therefore still counts), we spent the afternoon in the National Gem and Mineral Collection in the Smithsonian Natural History Museum. Shown here – us with what is clearly the Arkenstone. Thank you so much to everyone who came – it was great fun!

Legolas for my beat up-pinup series. Poplitealqueen Said I should do Legolas next in the series. Aren’t you all glad she chose so wisely? His bruises are already yellowing and his cuts closing due to the fast healing of the elves. He’s also nekkid because I tried to draw pants on him three times and every time they looked ridiculous. You should totally be able to see all of him from this angle but I can’t draw peen. It’s a weakness.

Gloin caught between ‘LOOKIT MY AMAZEBALLS FAMILY’ and ‘ohgod where did i go wrong’. Mizim mothering everyone impartially, trying to feed up these Elven skinny streaks of nothing. Orla, impassive-faced as always, but dying of laughter on the inside. Dwalin eating more cookies than Gimizh. Wee Thorin wanting to know about the battles, please, idc about the stupid love story, tell me about the battles! Laerophen wrangling Frerinith who clambers all over him and chews happily on his long elven-blond hair. Balinith staring at Legolas for a long moment, and then announcing, “your brother is taller than you.”
Legolas just smiling dumbly at Gimli. Gimli smiling dumbly back. “Welcome to the family, lad.”
