I’ve had this thought in my head munching bit by bit my peace of mind and I’d like to hear your headcanon on this, oh Dets almighty. We know Thranduil refused to go to Valinor once, so why wouldn’t he do the same again? Wanting to remain a true wood elf and all. But if that’s the case, he won’t see Legolas again once he departs ??!!? So they had to say farewell till the 2nd song????! Why this.

YEOUCH, NONNIE. 

Well, I’ve expounded a bit on my early thoughts on Thranduil, and yeah – I think that he holds fiercely to that which he has. I think he has a massive loss-complex, thanks to the long and painful life he has led. And that has on occasion caused him to make decisions that appear very cold. 

I don’t think he would leave the Greenwood, no. It is his, he has fought for it for long, bitter years – against monsters and spiders and even against the damned Necromancer. His people have bled for it. It is his, his home, and he will not lose another.

I also think he would be a) heartbroken that Legolas leaves for Ithilien, and b) DEVASTATED that Legolas leaves for the Undying Lands. 

I just wanted to let you know that I am SO looking forward to Legolas hearing the gulls. (its like one of my fave scenes in the books) (ive been hyping myself up for it for chapters now and as we journey towards it im grinning with glee to see what you’ll do with it) (assuming that you will of course) (i love seeing how artists reinterpret canon and sansukh has been bountiful in bringing interesting insights to the canon) anyway yeah been super enjoying ur work, have a great day!!

I still have A LOT to do over the weekend to prepare for my final speech Monday night for my thesis. But I just want to relax just for one more day!!!

So close to being done with it T^T, my digital and physical copies of my Thesis paper are due the 9th and 14th of April. Once those are turned in I’m done with this thesis shit forever (T^T)/

I’ll try and post pics from my senior show in the next couple of days. Some of the photos I took weren’t very good so I’ll see if ewebean took better ones haha.

FYI: I’m probably gonna livestream tonight so keep an eye out if you want to watch! :’>

ANd omg the armour, the fact that Laerophen doesn’t wear it, but Laindawar DOES, and Legolas is in his forest garb and AH, the different face shapes, the different ways they hold their heads, it’s just so indicative of their personalities, you are amazing you did that so incredibly perfectly just inferring who they are through such subtle details I AM HOWLING I LOVE IT SO MUCH

In case you didn’t already know, I will be playing Legolas in the massive Sansûkh podfic. 

Since I don’t really want to post my audition file, have a file of similarly questionable quality of me singing. I will have a real mic soon, but I wanted to post some kind of audio so everyone could get an idea of what they’re in for from me. I’ll probably post a poem or something else Tolkien related later tonight so there is something of me speaking for those inclined to listen. 

The melody is from the 1980s radio play of the Lord of the Rings, though it’s probably warped by my having been singing it to myself since I was like 8.
