This is a parody of the song Sleepsong by Secret Garden where Dragonmad and Determamfidd helped me change the lyrics of the original song to create, essentially, a lullaby that Dís essentially sings for Fili and Kili when they wee little dwarflings to help them sleep. Dets helped us by telling us to picture the boys sitting upon Dís’ legs and being very tender..

However, this version of this song is where she will not be seeing her boys after that night, as they leave the following with Thorin and the Company for the Return to Erebor, and they will be sitting beside her feet. She will have a hand on either of their heads and gently petting their hair. She can only pray that they will return.

She’s trying not to cry, so I hope I conveyed the pain through my voice in this! The lyrics for this is below~.

Ever since I watched the movie again, I’ve thought of this song as the song that the Dwarves (i.e. Bombur and Dís’s party) sing as they approach Erebor (Chapter 4, specifically, to make it relevant to Sansukh) – sad for those they’ve lost, but hopeful. In the movie, it plays over a scene of the Jews leaving Goshen for the final time.

Please excuse how gross my voice is – this is the FOURTH time I’ve tried to record this song tonight (and the first time I haven’t deleted it due to being a control freak), and I had to hit a LOT of high Gs. Possibly some As. I’m tired.

When I was ten, my mother had me read The Fellowship of the Ring before I saw the movie. Upon reaching the scene where the hobbits take baths, I came up with my own tune for Bilbo’s bath song, and have now souped it up.

Apologies for the bad quality; my guitar strings are starting to go out on me, and it’s late (AKA my voice is tired :D).

This is the song Yah Ribon Olam, an old tune sung on the Sabbath, and a favourite of mine and my family’s. I recorded it because, well, Tolkien did say he based Khuzdul to sound Semitic, and Aramaic is a Semitic language, so, why not?
