They hadn’t planned it. Oh no. It was all an accident of course. According to them, they hadn’t meant for it to happen to Dáin, but to Thorin. Even worse, and they were lucky Dáin could laugh about those things. Otherwise Thorin would’ve skinned them and used them as rags for the tavern’s floor. ——————————————————————————————–
Fíli wasn’t so sure it was a good idea, after all, Thorin had been in a foul mood for the past few days. Bur Kíli could always convince him. It was getting his biggest weakness, his little, reckless, foolish brother.
“C’mon Fíli! Now is the time to grab that bucket andhold it out for me to throw the fishheads in!” Kíli whispered excitedly. Excidetly of all things, of course. But Fíli did it anyway.
After they had collected the fishheads they sneaked towards the council room. Thorin hadn’t talked about a meeting so he was probably working in the soundproof room.
Kíli climbed up the wall (his ability to climb everything kept astouning Fíli) and place the bucket above the door, so that is would fall if the door was opened and dump it’s content on the person walking through. Which in this case would be Thorin, or so they had thought.
It was Dáin.
The two brothers stared horrified from their secret hide out and held their breaths. There had been a council.
Kíli kept muttering, “Not good, not good.” under his breath until Fíli elbowed him to spare his own nerves. They were started out of their scared trance with a snort and then a full booming laugh. Dáin was laughing! He didn’t laugh a lot, but when he did, he was really happy.
One head had been punctured by his left boartusk and was hanging from it limpley, almost sad.
Dáin appreciation!!!! I love him and i just know he once fell a prey to Fíli and Kíli’s pranks. It just happened. So now both cousins have been drenched in fish. They’re even.
AHHH THAT PAIR OF TERRORS HAHAHAHAHA
Ohgosh I can just imagine Dain giggling for ages afterwards, and then saying, ‘Thorin! Hey, cuz, remember the time we all did the same to old Fundin? I thought Frerin would be sick, he was laughing so hard!’
She commissioned me to draw her as a Dwarfling (or a young Dwarrowdam if you will), so I done did it.
Some details: she has some lovely raven wing earrings (as requested by Nina herself). She also has two piercings–both influenced by the awesome headcanons of the lovely determamfidd. The one below her bottom lip is a Singer’s Stud, and denotes a celebrated singer. The octagonal one above her top lip denotes a celebrated musician (I’m told Nina is a pretty good harp player. Cool, right?)
Last but not least, she also asked me to come up with a Dwarven Dark-Name for her. I decided on:

I don’t know you all that well, Nina, but from the time I have I’ve seen that you’re one talented kid. Passionate about what you love, and not afraid to show it either. I chose Singing Skies 1)Because it sounds cool, 2)Because you’re a helluva good singer and 3)Because the sky can seemingly go on forever, and that’s how I feel about your potential: limitless, as long as you keep going for stuff that makes you happy.
