I’ll be posting this comic for the @fluffyfebruary bagginshield event, one page a day, I hope you guys like it ♥ its title means, roughly, “Lullabies of the Heart”
this had a curious creation, though, it was a wrong prompt fill for @emsiecat’s donation reward back in december. then, I had uploaded it (it was 6 pages long at the time) on my patreon for everyone to see (because I was sure I wouldn’t have the time to work on it) and then! @kettish asked me to keep on drawing it! so I did, and I’m frankly thankful for the nudge, I had a lot of fun with this! also, I need to say I’m sorry to divide it into 1 page/day posts, but it’s truly the best way to view each page, as I can crop it into two and make it short and sweet if you guys want to reblog your favorite pages, zoom in to read the dialogue or anything!
lkjfh;ashdfgaljshdfgsjhasldkfjhasldhfa oh god, THANK you. I am sorta proud of that work, actually, it’s in my top 3 favourites of everything I’ve ever written. *wibbles* so happy that you like it and that you find it worth re-reading!
AHHHHH A FUNERAL FOR DWALIN’S HAIR BAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA oh, poor Dwalin. And there’s Thorin and Gloin and Oin, looking like overgrown yaks, all laughing at him. I’d be drinking too, Dwalin!
The different peoples of Middle-Earth have their own ways of farewelling the old year and greeting the new. Each race has its own rich customs and traditions to mark the winter solstice and the longest night of the year. Each is as distinct and unique as snow is to fire.
