My dearest Miss Pop, so I hear it is your birthday! I sang a very quick and very silly thing for you – serious will happen later, but for now, I hope this makes you smile. 

Happy birthday, my dear friend. You are an amazing person, with such a huge heart and such a brilliant sense of humour. I know you’ve always got my back. I am infinitely richer for having you in my life. *hugs* Love you to bits.

So I can’t draw tonight (or ever haHA) but that hasn’t stopped me before. It may be shitty Dáin fanart, but it’s my shitty Dáin fanart and there’s too little of it on this website for me to be picky anyway.

I will never regret Dáin fanart, no matter how crummy. This oath I do swear.

If you come into my house and tell me Dáin doesn’t have the hairiest Dwarven bum to end all hairy Dwarven bums, I will fight you.

And I will win.

He can be the Lord of my Iron Hills all he wants, if you get my meaning. Dáin Ironfoot is the best. Always.

She commissioned me to draw her as a Dwarfling (or a young Dwarrowdam if you will), so I done did it.

Some details: she has some lovely raven wing earrings (as requested by Nina herself). She also has two piercings–both influenced by the awesome headcanons of the lovely determamfidd. The one below her bottom lip is a Singer’s Stud, and denotes a celebrated singer. The octagonal one above her top lip denotes a celebrated musician (I’m told Nina is a pretty good harp player. Cool, right?)

Last but not least, she also asked me to come up with a Dwarven Dark-Name for her. I decided on:

I’mêgmanûl (’Singing Skies’)

I don’t know you all that well, Nina, but from the time I have I’ve seen that you’re one talented kid. Passionate about what you love, and not afraid to show it either. I chose Singing Skies 1)Because it sounds cool, 2)Because you’re a helluva good singer and 3)Because the sky can seemingly go on forever, and that’s how I feel about your potential: limitless, as long as you keep going for stuff that makes you happy.

(I would like to point out the two piercings on her face. The lip ring–denoting a singer–is the headcanon of determamfidd. Her headcanons are and she’s even cooler. The septril piercing above that denotes an artist. Annnd now you know!)

Lace also asked me to come up with a Dark-name for her. After much deliberation and hair-pulling, I decided upon:

Rathkhukhazâd (“Hand of the Dwarves”)

Now to explain. For one, I love your art. Not just for the look itself, but for the fact that you work on it so constantly. Not to mention I know you’ve created other stuff that I probably don’t even know about. What I’m trying to say is you have that Dwarrow-like urge to make and enjoy works of your own hand, and I respect that.

Ah thank you Lace! I was about to say, that isn’t Poppin, that is definitely Pippin…but then I saw the eyebrows and I knew. Eyebrows= Poppin.

(I hope you don’t mind, but I might use this as the pic for my cast intro thing? I really like it)

Well this was supposed to be for Easterling Appreciation Week, but someone took forever to answer my very sneaky anonymous ask ;P The lovely miss poplitealqueen has been drawing people as dwarves, so I decided to return the favor XD (also now it’s a thank you for helping me through a super crappy night last night XD)  I meant to give her the piercing denoting a master artist since she said she would be a tattooist, but I realized 95% of the way through coloring that I didn’t do it right, oops >.> But I’ve never known a tattoo artist who didn’t have some of their own, so she has markings in both the blue of the western dwarves and the red of the Orocarni, as a sign of her mixed heritage ^^

Not as polished/finished as some of my other ones due to time, but I hope you like it!
