so, I have always adored my ‘Secret Evil Dets’ icon (as made by the amazingly kind and ultra-ULTRA-talented notanightlight! I LOVE YOU NOTA) but it feels like the right time to shake it up a bit. I’ve had the same icon for a heck of a long time now, I guess…! Also, I cut all my hair off bc the Dwarfling kept chewing on it 🙂

I think Dets really outdid herself again with this last chapter.

For a literal leading-up-to-the-big-mo chapter, she showed once again how much love and work she puts into everything she writes. From the seamless incorporation of the book, thoughtful plot, as well as giving each character–OC and canon alike–distinct voices and drives makes me feel like I’m reading Tolkien: The Untold Story.

Her style is ephemeral and beautiful and as close to the Professor’s as I’ve ever seen. She does each character justice, while also staying true to the story itself. I’d wallow in joy over all the fanon she’s created and popularized for Dwarves, Elves and singular characters alike, but I’d be older than Dwalin by the time I finished.

Sansûkh is one of a kind. And you might think I’m just saying that because Dets and I are friends. Ha-haha, I think Dets is an amazing woman and a true friend, but I was fangirling over Sansûkh LONG before I even knew she had a Tumblr! Just sayin’.(And even longer than that before I worked up the nerve to stutter out “H-hi”, pfft)

So due to some financial difficulties in RL, I’ve decided it’s time I opened up paid commissions.

You should be able to find most information above, but here’s some extra stuff:

*I don’t really have any ships I will not draw, and most kinks are fine by me. You want porn? Kinky porn? Fluff? Angst? The only thing between you and that is my skill level.

*I can draw your OCs, as long as you have at least 3 reference pictures or a decent description. In the event of the latter, I will show you rough drafts so you can give your opinion on any changes before the final product.

*I will not draw anything sexual involving someone underage with an adult (underage for me means 17 and below)

*I will not draw anything perpetrating hate towards specific people, beliefs, or characters.

* I also draw podfic covers. The same payment rules apply as listed above, but I will also need to listen to the audio beforehand (just to get a feel of what I should draw).

* I can draw fanart for your fanfics. Just give me a link to it and an idea of what you would like drawn, and we’ll see what I can cook up.

*Fandoms I have and am willing to draw for: Tolkien (The Hobbit, LotR, and The Silmarillion); Star Trek (literally any of them…even Enterprise); Hannibal; Marvel; Harry Potter and more…Just ask.

*Payment is exclusively over PayPal

She commissioned me to draw her as a dwarrowdam forever and a half ago, and Dets you have been so patient thank you very much. I finally got you done! Last one I’ve been asked to do, so I guess you can call it going out with a bang? Sorta, kinda. You already know what the Singer’s Stud means so woot! no explanation.

Now for my favorite part…I also came up with a Dwarven Dark-name for you as well. It is:

Ubbanukarâz  (”Weaver of Glories”)

Alright, Dets, time for some shmoopy stuff. You’re one amazing woman, and honest to god I would have left the fandom in a fury by now if it wasn’t for you. You’re kind, understanding, and gosh I’M SURE YOU NEVER HEAR THIS BUT YOU ARE HELLA CREATIVE AND DETERMINED TO A POINT. So why weaver then? Well, that’s my trying to be all cool and comparing your stories– not just Sansukh, because you’ve written some great stuff even before that giant monster– to a tapestry of sorts. You sit there and create something so fantastic (*wink wink* glorious) but the best part? You let other people in on it, too. You let others add their own little squares to this big tapestry, and you’re one of the most encouraging and sweet people I’ve ever had the luck to know.

To wrap this up before I get too goopy, I think you don’t give yourself enough credit. Your not just one in a million creative, but tough and strong and, for lack of a better term, badass as hell. Thanks for being you, and thanks for being friends with a salty boo like me.

I love it. 

There I am, that’s me, those’re exactly my eyes and crooked mouth and the eyebrows of Extreme Flexiness… and I am a Dwarf. Not only that, but I am a feckin fab Dwarf.

My hair! MY HAIR. IS. BREATHTAKING. The two large braids, THE SMALL ONES – I USED TO WEAR MY HAIR WITH TWO PLAITS RUNNING ABOVE MY EARS TO THE BACK, HOLY SHEEEEET. and that BEARD!!!! So many braids, and oh my god I love them, I love the loops, the centre bead and the almost fanlike pattern of them, that is SO much detail,s so much work, and there’s just so much care put into every line… even the shade of it, my rapidly-greying ash-brownish mess, help mE I am still cryng

i can’t stop STARING. The more I look the more amazing detail, the more there is to see and to appreciate, holy crapola Pop, you are a juggernaut of dedication and skill and detail, I am in AWE HERE. Nosering!!! So, ‘Of Iron’ is a fic by poplitealqueen where Dain Ironfoot decided to join the Quest of Erebor. Only two chapters so far but I’m hooked. Pop manages to blend movie and book canon very well while at the same time bringing us all those little scenes we were missing out of both(Like Thorin getting lost!). All with the major bonus of her Charming af Dain. I Highly recommend it and so I made it a cover! (based on the idea that Dain would give a little smirk to Thorin’s surprise when he agrees to come)

Oh man remaking Thror’s map with my own little added flourishes was super difficult. I HOPE YOU LIKE IT POP!

YOU CAN DO IT! Sometimes it’s kind and everything simply falls into place, but mostly it’s a total cow. Just keep re-writing and listening, re-writing and listening! That’s what works for me, at least. YOU CAN GET THERE, POP, AND THERE WILL BE GLORIOUS MUSIC AT THE END OF IT.

Explanation time. Why this one. Well, I know times are tough right now. It seems like you’re stuck in a place you’ll never get out of, but I want you to know that isn’t true. Whether we want it or not, change is a constant in our lives. You’re tough enough to roll with it, however fast or slow that may come! As for the waters bit? I think one day, after the pain and the stress and the defiance of life has finally turned into something worthwhile, you’ll find yourself at the ocean’s edge watching the whales and wonder why you ever thought you wouldn’t *hugs* Stay strong, Tugboat.
