  1. I have nice eyes, I guess? They are tops at the looking business, anyway. Pretty good eyesight, nice colour, thank you eyes please keep it up as I inch ever closer to 40 lmao
  2. I like my laugh. I have a good laugh. 
  3. I have a great haircut. Also, I like my lil grey badger-stripes over my temples. Hoping I go white really early: pure white hair looks fabulous, and then I can be the tiny middle-aged protag of an anime or something
  4. I like my voice. I don’t mean to sound conceited about this: it’s taken a lot of time for me to untangle my feelings of self-worth from my abilities. My voice was once a part of that. I work hard on it and with it, and I haven’t always appreciated it – or used it properly. It’s not perfect and my placement isn’t always top-notch, and when I get nervous my vibrato goes off the scale – the Richter scale, heheheh. But it’s a good voice, with a big full sound and tone and a massive range, and I am glad I have it and that it’s given me my livelihood.
  5. I like um… my hands. Actually, I do. Like my mum, my hands are lined and rough-skinned and dry, with little bony wrists and bitten-off nails. Like my dad, they’re small, square, short-fingered and dexterous. They’ve typed every word of my stories, they’re what my Dwarfling reaches for when we’re out and about, they cook and play piano (badly) and violin (less badly) and idk, they’re pretty handy.

One of my favorite quotes from Sansukh is “even the meanest stone struggles to become” and I’ve been toying with it as an idea for a tattoo for a while, but my brain is 0% visually artistic, and I have no idea how I would stylize it and what image would go with it??? so basically if anyone has any ideas that would be so very cool

I did books, so now I’m going to do book length fanfics, because I’m a fucking nerd, but if you want books specifically, I’ll link that too. ^.^

So, trying to stick to just stuff 50k+ and just stuff I found this year:

1. Sansukh by Determamfidd

2. This, You Protect by Owlet

3. I’ll Keep You Safe Here With Me by sara_holmes (this one’s kinda dark but super good)

4. Oh, Son of A— by Striving_Artist (this one gets super cracky and it made me laugh the most I have all year)

5. Nothing Gold Can Stay by perkynurples (I feel sort of bad because I still haven’t finished it even though I’ve tried twice because I keep angsting out at a certain spot, but Good Omens was my fave book before I finished it, too, so it’s like a tradition at this point)

also I realized, all of these are ships I didn’t really have much interest in reading before this year??? so hella. good new stuff in my life.
