listen, Dets is not going to abandon this fic. i say this with a lot of certainty lol. and YES it is absolutely worth reading. for the length of the chapters and the sheer amount of work that obviously goes into it, not to mention the Quality, i would say it updates pretty often. none of the chapters are necessarily a good place to stop at, but the timeline as far as i can tell is coming to an end in the ‘near future’ (i.e., since the fic follows the events of lotr you kind of know when things are wrapping up and getting resolved).

anon. read it and join the rest of us in Sansukh hell where we eagerly await updates and literally drop everything in our lives when Dets drops a new chapter. in the meantime you can listen to the podfic chapters over and over again until you realize you’re also in podfic hell. welcome. :))))

To the nonnie: Yes, Rachel is totally right when she says that I will NEVER EVER EVER ABANDON THIS FIC. It means too much to me, and I could never walk away from all the work I and others have put in.

I now can fairly confidently say that Chapter 40 will be out next week! I have had to scrap a whole section, and I am rewriting others. It’s a climactic moment, and I really want to do it justice! *bites nails* Once this section is done, I should be able to pick up some writing momentum again ~~as the canon timeline loosens its tyrannical grip lmao~~
