At long last, we are pleased to present to our faithful listeners the teaser trailer for Chapter 6. We’re working with a new system for compiling lines, so from hereon out you may expect that three chapters will be released in (relatively) short succession, with a slightly longer break between. (Additionally, since HD is teaching, finishing her dissertation and looking for work, it’s also a little bit her fault that things have been a little delayed this time around.)

hey dets, just finished my 10^nth sansukh reread and i thought i’d drop by and gush a bit. i would do anything for a leatherbound gold embossed copy of this fic. thank you for the incredible representation (especially from my part for the best ace/aro representation i’ve seen in anything, ever, fic or not) and thank you for your dedication to this amazing project. you’re the best.

I totally stole @houkakyou‘s trick, and put vinyl inside the belt, heh. I screwed up a whole bunch of very nice trim by dyeing it just a bit too long. Buggering fuck. Anyway, thank heavens for an old brown Venice Lace skirt I bought on a whim at an Op Shop, bc it is now doing stellar duty. 

Now to decorate that skirt. Oh god. Two circle skirts, what possessed me, I do not bloody know. 

(THE BROWN ONE HAS A CIRCUMFERENCE OF 6.6 METRES – adding that silk border nearly broke me, I stg)

Hi! First off I absolutely love Sansukh, it’s my favorite piece of fanfiction ever. Secondly, I’m writing a fanfic for another fandom, and I want desperately to reference Light on the Horizon at the end, have one of the characters start singing it at the end of the story, because she’s a tolkien/sansukh nerd and it fits with my ending. I’d include a link to the song at the end and credit you and everything, but I thought I’d ask, just to be safe. Thank you for everything you do, you are a gem!

I found Sansûkh a couple of months ago, and decided to wait until it was finished to read it (and save it as a sort of treat), as it’s almost complete, but a week or so ago I couldn’t stop myself and started reading it. I intended to take my time, but instead read all of it in less than two weeks because it is so so good. Thank you so much for taking the time to write such an epic. It’s such a beautiful idea and I have so enjoyed reading it.

I’m dyslexic, so reading is incredibly difficult for me because the letters all get mixed up, BUT I LOVE SANSÛKH. I have gleefully struggled through ALL of it… But could you (or a follower) make a pronunciation guide for your OCs’ names, please? <3

Sooooo, I’ve never done cosplay before! I’ve always loved it and wanted to try, but I could never chose someone to cosplay.

I’ve been inspired by the incredible ladies who cosplay a bunch of dwarrowdams from Sansukh and I found some things I’ve had laying around that would be really good for a Gimli cosplay. Look at the vibrancy of that red beard (it was actually a wig until a few hours ago when I took some scissors to it)! The red ribbon on the mustache part of it isn’t permanent, I just need it there until I secure what needs to be secured.

I chose Gimli’s blue look from Aragorn’s coronation. Only dilemma is I can’t decide whether to leave the tunic as it is or cut the sleeves of so I can wear some shiny armor type shirt under it. I’m basing my cosplay off of the art from the chapter this comes from by

dreamfleet.

with a few alterations. In the future I want to do the Legolas side of this bc I have the perfect silvery shirt.

Hello Dets! I just wanted to let you know that Sansukh is amazing! I reread it few times already and still am so impressed by the story, characters, the work you put into it… Also I listen to ”Light on the Horizon” every day, it’s so emotionally loaded and yet – I focus better thanks to it.
