/face in hands/ omg I tryyyyyy. The older I get the more I realize that the single most important quality in a person to me is if they’re kind or not (very little can redeem an unkind person, and kindness can make up for all sorts of other shortcomings). I’ve also let go of so many of my insecurities about performance, I care a lot less about how I succeed or fail in most areas in most people’s eyes (still a work in progress), but if people think I’m a good person, I consider it a job well done ❤

so I’ve done this once already, but what the hey 🙂 I got tagged by the lovely @emsiecat! Thank you, you wonderful person you!!

I’ve already done seven(ish) lines from page 7, so here we go: here’s 7 from up near the beginning of the chapter so far! 

Thror, watching, was able to see the quick expression of
gladness that crossed Laindawar’s stern face as it pressed against his
brother’s shoulder.

“How has your head fared, honeg?” he said, briskly. “I see
your time amongst the Naugrim has not cured you of your ridiculous height.”

Laerophen’s brows knitted. “And you are as short and
disagreeable as ever, honeg,” he said. “Do not call them that.”

Laindawar blinked, but his surprise was hidden in an
instant. “Very well, I shall not.”

“He’s weirder than you ever were,” came a small whisper by Laerophen’s knee, and the tall elf smiled again.

“That is only to be expected. He is my older brother, young
one, and to be odd is a family trait, we are told.”

Laindawar was not able to conceal his shock quite so neatly
this time, as the small slightly-grubby hand of Gimizh rose and tugged at
Laerophen’s tunic. “Can you tell me about them? I dun have a brother or
sister.”

it’s been a long time since I’ve had any OC’s that had a significant part in my stories, but I have fond memories of characters named Margaux Jacob (named after my two French friends) and Laura Bono (named after my cousin) who were my first wlw characters ever. I also liked a half-Italian half-Egyptian character named Tia Mohammad who was a real kickass ❤ and her best friend Alice Geller (half-Chinese half-English). (they were the main characters in that fic by the way)

from more recent stuff, well, I’m fond of the main characters of that historical fantasy story I’ve been planning, Princess Yuko and Yukimura Risa. I also love Yuko’s younger sister, Sakurako (who will be a trans girl), and Yuko’s bodyguard Fujiwara Yoshio. I’ve also thought about adding another princess who would be based on Persian princesses but I haven’t thought of a name yet, and her slave/girlfriend who would be Finnish (it was a thing, Russian slavers kidnapped people from Karelia (Eastern Finland) and sold them to Middle Eastern royalty – blonde-haired blue-eyed people were especially sought after) but whose name I also haven’t decided. And there’s also gonna be a (probably) Masai-based scribe girl but again, no names decided yet (I’m gonna do some research before I make any decisions)

well, I love love love @determamfidd‘s characters in Sansûkh, but especially Hrera, Baris and Bomfris, they’re all super lovely ladies ❤ and I love det’s take on Narvi (can I marry her?) and then there’s also the lady Selga who I also love… heck, all det’s ladies are awesome and I love them!

I also love @yubiwamonogatari‘s characters Bera and Valka from Azhâr. Bera is a lil cutiepie and Valka is a real badass ❤ oh I love them ❤ *headcanons self in a polyamorous relationship with both of them* ooops that happened xD

When the echoes had finally died
away, a minstrel stepped forward with a fiddle in hand. “Lord, I beg leave to
sing?” he said.

“Only if Mister Frodo’s up for
it, mind,” Sam said, and Aragorn laughed.

“Mind your audience, master. But
it would please me.”

“Aye, just the moment for a song
an’ a dance, and most definitely an ale.
We’ve a score to settle, ghivasha,” came a low rumble from behind the throne. A
hissed, ‘shhh, Gimli! This is a solemn
occasion!’ answered it.

The minstrel struck his fiddle
for his note, and then called out over the throng, “Lo! lords and knights and
men of valour unashamed, kings and princes, and fair people of Gondor, and
Riders of Rohan, and ye sons of Elrond, and Dúnedain of the North, and Elf and
Dwarf, and greathearts of the Shire, and all free folk of the West, now listen
to my lay. For I will sing to you of Frodo of the Nine Fingers and the Ring of
Doom.”

So @determamfidd tagged me to post about five of my OTPs… So, of course, I did some silly doodles 😀

I ended up only going with four of them, since I couldn’t decide on a fifth.  I didn’t want repeat fandoms and I really wanted to show the major ones that formed my fandom life.  There were a couple I could have gone for but in the end these four are the ones that resonate the strongest with me, I guess. 😀
