In
the First Order, you’re not allowed to sleep in.
That’s the first thing they teach the kids taken from their
families. The ones taken as infants are the lucky ones; they never know
anything else. But the older kids, the ones that are four or five or six
standard years old, for them it’s always hard.
They cry, they ask when they can go home, they beg for their
parents, and some even fight back. The ones that don’t stop with that, even
after rigorous reconditioning, eventually just never return to the bunks.
Nobody asks where they went; everyone already knows they’re long dead.
Finn counted himself as one of the lucky ones, at least, that’s
what Slip always told him. He doesn’t remember his family; doesn’t think he
ever even had one. Chances are, he was just one of thousands of orphans that the First
Order took under the pretense of charity. He doesn’t know, and he doesn’t
particularly care. Well, at least not anymore.
So…anyone remember that Camp Nano project I talked about earlier? The Kylo Ren and Finn surprise Force bond one?

Finally came up with a title, too! I think ‘Traitor’ will work rather fucking nicely, wouldn’t you say? (Especially when the plot revolves around, you know, two traitors. And yes, because I like the meme, too.)
I also might make a Kylo variant piece to this, for giggles.
And if you’re wondering why his hair is so long, it’s because the fic takes place quite a few months after TFA, so I assume he’d probably let the fro go free for a bit. I mean, I doubt the First Order just let them wear their hair however they pleased. They probably had regulation hair lengths or some shit Idk…
I need the Finn from canon. The military commander who showed so much promise that Phasma viewed him as her special project. A Finn so capable and good at what he did that his first mission in the field was accompanying Phasma and Kylo Ren.
A Finn who was raised as a soldier. Who lived in barracks with adults. Who knows enough about sexuality and relationships that he knows what a “boyfriend” is and has the confidence to ask a girl he’s just met if she has one.
A Finn who shit talked Han Solo, while on Starkiller base the one place in the galaxy he never wanted to return to, but still he stayed focused.
Finn gets shit done!
I want Finn from canon. A man, a military commander, a human being who fought for his own freedom and faced down the First Order with no plan to save someone he loves.
Finn the smartass. Finn the clever strategist. Finn isn’t a child. He isn’t some clueless boob who stumbles through life

I’m tired of the fanon version of Finn. The terrified clueless manchild who can barely tie his shoes much less fight or understand how his own penis works.

Do you knew ANYTHING about the military? Ever been inside a barracks. Even if Finn is a virgin you can trust he knows how a penis works. If he knows what a boyfriend is he knows about sex and likely even saw other Stromtroopers fucking.
What is with the need to take away Finn’s power? Whether it’s denying he’s Force sensitive or ignoring that he was a soldier. Or erasing his courage and intelligence.
Why is Finn only attractive if he is lesser than his lovers? Why is he only acceptable to ship him if he’s broken or childlike? What is with this fear of a fully functional adult black man?
