Hi, I want to tell you thanks. I love the story and writing of Sansûkh, but I want to thank-you specifically for it’s music. The music you’ve created, they lyrics you wrote, but mostly for being so open to others creating songs for your words. Music affects me more deeply than almost anything else, and the Songs of Sansûkh are … they’re pretty much perfect, and an amazing collaboration. So I guess I’m thanking you for being so encouraging to people you inspire. Thank you. It means the world.

Oh Nonnie.

You’ve touched me very deeply. That is such a wonderful thing to tell me: thank you for taking the trouble to send me such a beautiful and generous message.

I’m not the most polished or accomplished composer, but I do enjoy it a lot.

Music is so so important to me, and I would never stand in the way of anyone making it. It’s a constant source of joy to me.

I am thrilled you like the songs, and I’m so grateful that they motivate others. I am so SO thankful for the marvellous work of wonderful folks who compose, arrange and perform for Sansukh: like notanightlight, muchymozzarella, lacefedora, goldberry-in-the-rushes, ninayasmijn and more! It just makes me want to sing!! So I suppose it’s an inspiration feedback-loop, in a way 😀

I hope one day to hear your music, Nonnie. That would be so special.

Sad headcanon: All the Sansukh Company members helped with the Erebor cleanup effort. The Durin ones (and Dain) had to go and clean out their family quarters. Especially painful for people who had lost family.

AUGH.

Okay, I am wibbly enough about Dwarves like Balin and Dwalin entering their family quarters… finding little remnants of their parents’ lives: a scrap of paper with Fundin’s writing on it, a broken comb, a childhood toy carefully stored, Dweris’ favourite dressing-gown, now more moth-holes than fabric…

but Dis.

Dis.

EXCUSE ME, GTG BAWL MY EYES OUT NOW.

HI DETS LOVE LOVE LOVE THE NEW CHAPTER GREAT JOB one thing i’m confused about though, where did the pets come from?

Awwww, thank you Nonnie!

Custard is Thrain’s cat. She is a massive help to him with his slow recovery from the trauma of his incarceration and torture. She likes his forge – plenty of nooks for a cat to curl up in, and it’s always nice and warm in there.

We cannot explain the pig. It is inexplicable. Inexplicable pigs.

I am rereading Sansukh for the *cough* time, and I am currently very amused at Gimli referring to Ori as “dear little Ori” when Ori is about a decade older than he is. Poor Ori, forever destined to be seen as the little one even when he’s grown up ^^

Gimli is being such a twit there – he hasn’t seen Ori in twenty-five years, so his memory of Ori is of a Dwarf younger than he is now, hahaha! Ori was 127 when he died, and at the time of LOTR, Gimmers is 140.

(but he really should give Ori some more credit. GIMLI. *shakes head* I adore you, but really!)

I’m thrilled you enjoy it so much, Nonnie! Thank you!
