do you have any silm ships?

angbang wait who said that

I have seen some very sweet Fingon/Maedhros art which makes me go “AWWWWWWW” i love you so much i think i’ll make your dad king lol

I am a bit of a sucker for the ultimate magical Orpheus-inspired epic self-insertness that is Luthien/Beren.(IT IS SO MAGIC, LUTHIEN THE SPARKLY SORCERESS, ALL THE MAGICAL LADIEEEEES)

I like all forms of Celebrimbor + Narvi: bros, romantic, queerplatonic, bickering craft-geniuses who can only really talk to each other bc nobody else is on their level, all of it. Just all the Celebrimbor and Narvi.

Beleg/Turin is made of so much angst and woe. OMFG, I am having a sniffle just thinking about it.

Uh, can’t think of anymore rn, though I am sure I have some!

I just wanted to tell you that, as the parent of a child with ADHD, your post about Pippin having ADHD made me want to cheer, not just because representation but especially because PIPPIN. It makes such perfect sense for him, and it’s hugely positive because Pippin is a hero in part due to exactly those traits, impulsive little scattergun genius that he is. I loved Pippin anyway but ADHD!Pippin is a wonderful addition, thank you. The joyous diversity of Sansukh is a beautiful thing :)

jasdgfaksjgaskj ‘joyous diversity’ !!! I am having a little moment rn. What an amazing phrase, what an incredible compliment! I am so, so touched. Thank you, Nonnie. Joyous diversity. *hugs pillow tightly* AUGH JOYOUS DIVERSITY.

I am hugely HUGELY thrilled that you like ADHD!Pippin! And I am so happy that it makes sense to you, too. I love that all parts of him, being a young Hobbit and being a Took and having ADHD contribute to being such an amazing, all-round hero and brave little soul.

All my love to you and your own little scattergun hero!

So we saw the sweet tooth question, but now we need to ask the real questions; what about /sour/ candy, dear Dets? Or sour/tart foods, in general? I’m a fan of granny smith apples, the green ones? And sour dusted candies!

OOOOOOOH *thinks*

I think that Dori might have had a certain partiality towards sour/sweet tastes. Lemony cheesecakes, curd tarts, sour apple lollies, that sort of thing. MMMM.

I bet Ori hated them when he was little, hahaha. Where are the chips?

Granny Smiths are in season here rn! OM NOM NOM.

Thank you for putting so many awesome ladies and lady friendships in Sansukh! It’s nice to see that not only are there lots of rad women, they actually interact with each other! And support each other!

It is my unashamed and total delight to do so, Nonnie. I am so fond of them all, seriously. The sibling relationship between Bomfris and Baris just makes me wanna roll around happily, as does Dis’ very different friendships with Orla and Thira. Heck yeah Dwarrowdams! 🙂

(my fave unexpected friendship is actually turning out to be Haban and Narvi!)

Any ideas about which Sansukh characters have the biggest sweet tooth? (Also Thrain is a bear for maple candy. No regrets, even when it gets all in his beard and Hrera Disaproves.)

(*whispers* I… have never tried maple candy is it nice)

I think that Bomfris might actually have something of a sweet tooth, actually! Her whole family would know that when she comes in from the raven-heights, hide the lollies, because she will chomp ‘em all.

Balin is particular to cake – especially Bombur’s lovely Shire-inspired cakes. Mmmm.

Jeri has been known to make toffee. It is very, very good. (it is also very VERY HARD. The children call it ‘tasty quartz’, and one piece can last all day – if you’re careful about it.)

And Gimizh, of course, is a great and notorious Cookie-Thief! Wee Thorin actually prefers pie, but try telling Gimizh that when he’s in a cookies mood. Impossible.
