Tag: stuff to make laughs

Gimizh and Bofur both have perpetually scaly/dry feet, and Gimris is always running around trying to fix this. Pumice stones, lemon juice, salve, whatever. It all works a little, but their feet seem destined to be perpetually dry. It doesn’t help that they’re both ticklish around the feet.

Awwww, but this would actually be adorable, Nonnie! I can imagine Gimris being very determined about this. She would absolutely fix it. She’s got an old recipe of her uncle’s, and she has added wool fat from the sheep as well. It cannot. Possibly. Fail.

And the whole time, Bofur is squirming and going red in the face and gasping with laughter, tears in his eyes, his leg jerking crazily as his muscles jump in response to her rubbing. Because it tickles, Ruby! You can’t… oh Mahal, no no no Ahhhaaaaa please, please tell me you’re done now… I’ve gone lightheaded here, love, please…

And she would say (after dodging a particularly uncontrolled kick): all right, all done.

Thank Mahal, Bofur would say, and he’d slump down, his stomach actually aching after all that laughter.

Gimris’ jaw would jut, in that way she had. “Time for the other one now.”

Well. There’s another thing I’ll never unsee.

are you telling me that Australia is cat-dog?

Actually this makes more sense than what I was taught in primary school, which was that Australia is shaped like the head of a Scottie dog (Scottish Terrier) and Tasmania (the big island down the bottom) was its dog tag. I blame this lesson for my continued inability to draw maps.

tis I, the angstnonnie again. Bomfris could also just name her pig Bacon, be really classy. But also: the tiny terrors pig racing. Gimizh names his pig Cookie or something. Gimizh on a pig (he probably would be dressed up as a warrior, like his uncle, Gimli). He tries to use it to steal more treats from the kitchen. Pure chaos ensues. Who thought letting him near pigs was a good idea? How did this happen?

Some of the dwarves aren’t the greatest cooks and give their family recipe to Bombur who, on one side doesn’t want to make them bc /family recipe/ but still makes them

*ducking head* “Welcome.”

“You’re welcome to keep the recipe, if you’d like. For doing us such a great favour.”

“Oh no, couldn’t possibly! That’s your family’s history, that is! I wouldn’t presume, Mahal forbid.“

“But then… how were you able to re-create it so perfectly?”

“Tried not to look too long at the book? Also, Bofur’s been pouring ale into me since sundown.”
